Some of the best Sportfishing in the world takes place in Costa Rica. Especially out of a village named Nosara. Nosara is far from commercial fishing lanes and off the beaten paths of tourists. The Nosara area is a best-kept secret fishing and surfing destination, and we had to take a visit.
This was one of the most EPIC trips. Not only was there non-stop sailfish, giant Dorado, and Marlin fishing but for the first time, we used a Yellowfin Tuna as bait and hooked onto a giant Bull Dorado.

Dunno, I was kinda glad he got away. It always seems to me that big suckers like that don't have the best meat to harvest, and call me romantic, but I like the idea of that big boy out there, making more awesome fighting babies.

Kind of glad the Dolphin won the battle. Ending his life in a coffin box surrounded by a bunch of yelping fisherman would have been a shame. Not a fish hugger by any means, I have fished all my life [just turned 70] it is just that was one magnificent fish. Followed the boat builds on the fishing forums so it is cool to actually see these boats fishing.
