The kid in me is just pissed, I hate my neighbor and might just give her heck. Just ugh man burns my ass but my buddy had stuff stolen a while back, turned out to be his brother and cousin. True it's never to far and closer than you think. Not the turtles man!

I’ll name names, life storage entered my storage unit to “clean” . I saw one of the dudes eyeballing my stuff the week before, so I emptied it of the expensive stuff before I left there . They had cameras and passcode , doesn’t help when the 3rd parties they hire to clean cut the locks and do whatever they want. Even worse they didn’t lock it back up so anyone could have gotten in, luckily I was going there daily at that point. Just don’t use storage units people, buy a shipping container, slap it in the back yard

Btw I’m only “missing” one thing that I know of, but I just added it to my insurance claim on them, since they neglected a backed up rain sewer I told them about for month and it flooded (weird huh)

A few weeks back I found out that a friend of 27 years had stolen over $30,000 worth of figures and cards from me. It's been gut wrenching and it's been tough with a lot of sleepless nights..... I guess that we just need to be thankful for the things that we still have. He stole $6,000 worth of marvel legends/GI Joes and around $25,000 worth of sports cards, Batman comics and X-Men comics..... But I still have some rare ass legends, signed comics, CGC graded comics, signed posters and original comic art. That's my silver lining. I'm just gonna continue to collect rare signed collectables and rare posters. Beat of luck to you brother 🤗❤️❤️

This hurts man. I feel for you. Yeah you need to relocate to a storage facility with cameras, because a murder even happened at a storage facility, a man just storing his stuff saw a woman adjacent to his unit and decided to just kill her in her unit for the hell of it. Luckily the cameras caught the horrific act and they were able to identify him and he's in prison for life. Cameras make all of the difference, one way or another.

I’m pretty sure you had insurance on the stuff, so you’ll be alright. Kind of strange that they didn’t wipe out the whole container and just the back wall. I can almost guarantee that random thieves wouldn’t have had any idea what they were stealing. For them just to steal the specific stuff on the back wall definitely seems fishy as I would think thieves would start at the front of the locker then work their way back. Plus, who puts thousands of dollars worth of stuff in a storage facility that they know doesn’t have cameras and must not have private access like so many storage facilities have. Hmm Could this be insurance fraud?

No fraud whatsoever - the insurance only covers up to a small amount- if I knew there were different tiers of insurance I would have taken out a higher plan - i knew how much my collection was worth … I also was under the assumption of the Climate controlled private building would have cameras considering there is cameras at front gate and back parking lot - and not to mention I put this collection in a storage unit because I don’t have room in my home

It still could be an inside job . The question is, how many people did they tell about your collection? People like to talk and talk leads to ideas, bad ideas usually. Rule #1 never show your special collections to anybody unless they are in your house under lock and key ,not in a storage unit .No matter how secure it may be ,there's always a chance to be burglarized because way too many people are coming and going. I totally agree, when I first went to office the facility to inquire about a unit there were TVs with cameras everywhere, but only shows the front gate and parking lot, just NOT in climate control building in the back- unfortunately I assumed they would have had cameras in there but apparently I was wrong
