I like these puzzles, but when a mistake is made, it can be pretty devastating. I did coloring and lettering and got almost to the end to find I had a contradiction. I'm over 30 minutes in and have no idea where I made the mistake. Brutal.

I’m with you. Sometimes I wish there is a hint button that would show you either the next step or where you’ve made mistakes. So tempted to build my own solver software!

Very nice! Something I do in XV puzzles is I use different shades of red, sometimes spotting you have 2 of the same paired digit can be helpful even for high digits :)

Brilliant puzzle and great solve. I solved it in 28:26. I used 8 different colors instead of letters. For some reason I found it quite difficult to follow the solve with the letters, probably because I am not used to it :)

@sudokusleuth My solve was smooth as silk using your patented algebra and 3 colors method! (Sorry I don't color the 5's) . I made some cells blue/red or green/red as temporarily warranted until they sorted themselves out. I even had 2 cells green/blue/red for a few seconds until I realized I could immediately eliminate the blue. I'm going to watch the video now to see what you did with the extra colors but I can't imagine how extra colors could have made my solve smoother. I did have to backtrack once but it didn't slow me down much and there was a few seconds of panic about 3 quarters of the way thru when I thought I had broken the puzzle but quickly realized it was fine. I do love puzzles like this one.

A nice challenge! I ran into some tough deductions in order to connect my coloring between boxes 2-3 and rows 7-9. My time today was 20:19, solver number 248.
