My dad hates jazz, I love it. I never really understood why, but it's likely cause of stuff like this. Also there used to be a TV show that had Dave Brubeck's "Take five" as it's intro and outro and it really resonated with me.

Ever hear the Intro of Biker Mice from Mars? It's a different Genre of course, but man it is killer Terrible Thunder Lizards, Eek the Cat, Dexter's Laboratory, Bobby's World, Edd Edd 'n Eddy, Rocko's Modern Life, Rugrats, Doug, Animaniacs, Ren & Stimpy, Darkwing Duck, Batman the Animated series, Swat Kats, 2 stupid dogs, The Tick, Pink and the Brain, Cow and Chicken, Arthur, The Angry Beavers, Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Powerpuff Girls, Rocket Power, Alfred J. Kwak ( if you haven't heard of this one, that's cause it's a Dutch one that was animated by Disney animators), Calimero and Angry Beavers. All their intros were great, most of these shows didn't have as much music as Hey Arnold, but still their intros were unique Also there were a good few great intros for older shows like Top Cat, the Jetsons, The Flintstones, Wacky Racers and more. Never really appreciated how great TV was as a kid.

This is exactly what I needed at 4:27 am on a Thursday in may as I wait until I die slowly and, yet again, wake up late to go to my job that I want to quit tomorrow. It’s only a matter of time before I’m able to get on a plane and go. Go so far away that this song will be the representation of how soulful and fulfilled me and my beautiful wife will be. I’m cry as I type this and I know this all to be true, except when it will happen. But I know that the day I finally come full circle to the realization that this explicitly typed out dream comes true, I will then turn this song immediately and feel as satisfied as I do now listening to it.

What happened to cartoons? Some can still be funny, but they just don't have that flare anymore. 90's cartoons like Hey Arnold resonated with people in a really unique way that most cartoons after the turn of the century weren't able to emulate.
@bingo__bongo9 жыл бұрын
+arapnator17 actually you should check out cartoons like adventure time and gravity falls. In many respects, they are much better than 90's cartoons. Don't let your nostalgia form you opinion. Cartoons are getting a lot better now, they have much more imagination to them and many of them are not limited by old cliches and stories. I'm not saying Hey Arnold is bad, I love it in fact.

+Soupy Soup Adventure Time is like an acid trip; Gravity Falls has an amazing back story, and it might be better than a lot of the 90's cartoons, but it isn't better than Hey Arnold, IMHO. I would say Cartoons were a lot more human than today. Adventure Time has the intention of sending a message of humanity, but it gets lost in all that LSD thing they draw. I mean: I get the message, but do younger kids get it?

Glad the series finale 2 part special is coming out soon. I can't wait for the series to be revived with re-runs to prepare for the new finale special; the 90's were the best :D Cartoons that taught us without being too silly, stupid or in your face; technology and internet were on the rise and new cultures such as anime were discovered and accepted. The fact things like wi-fi and handheld games; stuff people take for granted were born from the 90's is really enough to show how big they were. Anyone remember the cathode-ray tv's and the loud modem boot ups for windows 95 or even windows 3? Ah childhood. Even at the age of 3 I used a pc (mostly for paint and warcraft 2) was a good time. ^^
