I live in a 10 c Italian village and builders here still know how to do this - and they do exactly what you have gone - huge respect to you - so impressive .

Fantastic job for first time DIY. A couple of things to mention: The C measurement you calculated is the Arch Radius (1309 top measurement in calculator list) minus Arch Height (1050) And we usually use 2 identically cut sheets of ply (joined if necessary) with timber spacers to separate them so the blocks sit level (no spokes). Heavy to stand, but solid and fast to build. That's the sort of accomplishment you can stand and admire proudly - it's no easy task for first time DIY.

Lovely. That last drone shot makes it look like an archaeological dig site. You are discovering a structure from the 13th Century.

Found the channel over weekend and have watched most of the videos.. very few good videos on KZbin showing how to "stone face" a wall and build up in courses using stone. Some of your earlier episodes showed and explained those brilliantly. Would love to see a video on building stone around windows! Great channel!!

Alex, your whole build is ridiculous!!!!!!!…..you should have thousands and thousands of more viewings, it’s so sad that here you have a person who actually does something worth watching and you cannot get tens of thousands of views while some idiots stick their finger in their nostril which will pick up huge amount of traffic, we’ll done mate you teaching people something really really worth watching and you are doing it right, great upload !

could you have put a larger key stone block in the center of the arch. like you sometimes see on older buildings. i understand you didn't want that look but could you have done that with this type of arch....peace out
