Visiting Barbrook Stone Circle yesterday gave me the opportunity to talk about the Magic of Stone Circles, Cairns associated with them, and the Magical Landscape. In my mind, the ancient monuments hold the energy of ancient times in a way that allows us to access an understanding of the world as ancient people viewed it. These circles are not solitary monuments, they are associated with the Cult of Ancestor Worship, access to the Otherworlds, and guidance from Guardian Spirits. Ancestors were viewed as having a great influence on our current lives. Often they were said to be the Elves, or the Faeries, When we make pilgrimages to Sacred Sites, we are visiting the Ancestors for their wisdom, to heal ourselves, and to heal the Earth, bringing her back to an ancient remembrance of harmonic energies where fertility and health were sought in the deep realms of the Underworld, and those who had become Sleeping Kings.

Thank you for taking us out with you to that beautiful stone circle, it is a reminder to me to make more of an effort to push myself to get out to these magical places and connect more with the energies of the earth and those who have walked before. I'm always so grateful for your videos, the depth of your knowledge and learning is something I aspire to have one day! I agree so much of what witchcraft, paganism, wicca... etc actually means and feels like has been lost in consumerism and trend. Magic to me is in tending to and honouring nature, from caring for your houseplants for example, to sitting quietly under a great oak tree and being 100% present in doing so ( no purchasing needed! ) I do love a good book chat though! 😀 xx

Lovely to hear your thoughts on this special subject (at this most special time of year)... Or you may substitute the word "magic" for "special" if you like. Either way, something draws us to Nature and to sites such as these... And you are like our Priestess, who journeys to another world to bring back thoughts and pictures of another time and place, the underworld of our ancestors (existing now on the same plane as us, side by side, intermingled, or superimposed, two dimensions inhabiting the same spot in space, in this world)... And You are the One who wakes us up to this possibility. Magic graces your thoughts, and you gracefully share your thoughts with us... I hope you had a wonderful Midsummer Day.

I'm still counting it as midsummer.. though the nights are drawing in. Yes, so true that something calls us at this time of year, out into those special places. I wish the pictures were less shaky but it was very windy, and with such special subjects in nature, who wouldn't want to capture the moment. Hope you had a good midsummer too.

Good morning, I really enjoyed this video today. I found it really fascinating. Stone circles will always be a mystery and thats the ever lasting beauty of their sceret. I'm hoping you will do more of these videos as they are full of history and information. As i stated in my last comments i do still enjoy watching a witchy haul and unboxing as its always nice to see new goodies but these video are so much more valuable and interesting. Thanks for sharing and i hope it wasn't to cold up there on those moors.

It wasn't that cold, but it is the middle of summer. I love stone circles, finding new ones, just wandering in wonder. I have to admit, I have actually seen very few witch unboxings!! I tend to glaze over, lol... but I have watched a few witch hauls! Thanks

Lovely video, I'm hoping to start visiting stone circles or ancient pagan sites close to me, and then go further a field, waiting on some books regarding ruins/circles and where abouts, wildcamping by them too, I'm a forest witch, so usually draw my energy from the trees and the ground/nature, but feel the need to do this pilgrimage to all these ancient sites, love the videos, good health and safe travels, cheers craig

YOU CAN FIND A MAGIC ROCK FROM YOUR GARDEN IF YOU HAVE ONE, OR FROM A RIVERBED, CREEK, OCEAN, OR PARK. IF YOU DON’T HAVE EASY ACCESS TO ANY OF THESE PLACES, THEN ASK YOUR NEIGHBORS, FAMILY, OR FRIENDS. YOU MAY EVEN HAVE A PRECIOUS ROCK OR STONE ALREADY THAT YOU CAN USE AS YOUR MAGIC ROCK.

WHY IS THE EARTH OF GLASTONBURY SACRED ❓

Good question. It was once a sacred island, as all islands are sacred, the red and white springs are sacred, and it is connected to other sacred sites through the leys

@@TheWitchInTheWoods JESUS AT GLASTONBURY ➖ DURING THE 18 YEARS IN WHICH THERE IS NO RECORDED HISTORY ON THE LIFE OF CHRIST, THERE IS A THEORY THAT JESUS ACCOMPANIED ST. JOSEPH ON HIS JOURNEY TO GLASTONBURY. THE HOLY GRAIL ➖AFTER THE CRUCIFIXION, ST. JOSEPH COLLECTED THE BLOOD 🩸 FROM THE BODY OF THE CRUCIFIED CHRIST IN THE HOLY GRAIL (THE SACRED CUP USED BY JESUS AT THE LAST SUPPER). WHEN ST. JOSEPH RETURNED TO GLASTONBURY, SOME SAY HE BURIED THE HOLY GRAIL THERE. CONNECTION BETWEEN GLASTONBURY, THE GREAT PYRAMID, AND STONEHENGE ➖ THE TWO THOUSAND YEAR OLD DESIGN ON THE COVER OF THE FAMOUS GLASTONBURY WELL FORMS THE VESICA PISCIS (THE FISH 🐟 SIGN 🪧- SYMBOL OF CHRIST). EVEN MORE MYSTERIOUSLY, THIS SYMBOL IS ALSO FOUND AT THE GREAT PYRAMIDS AND STONEHENGE.
@TheWitchInTheWoods
@TheWitchInTheWoods 2 жыл бұрын
@@nicondaallen interesting. At stonehenge too? I know the vesica Pisces is the basis of a lot of these monuments built on sacred geometry.. It's the trinity symbol, and some sacred knowledge the freemasons continue to this day. They also talk of squaring the circle. Leonardo Da Vinci illustrated this perfectly. There is definitely more to this than romantic new age loo lah. There is also a legend that Joseph of Arimathea landed at a certain beach in Cornwall, where they built a holy shrine/ chapel.. if this is true then he would have found it easy to come here as part of the tin trade, which had been moving between the levant and Cornwall for hundreds of years, probably a phoenician ship.
