Amazing beautiful classic! Lenny Wolf was amazing in his prime! I’m still bumping this in 2024 🔥 I discovered this song and Lenny in 2007 when I was 12 and I am still listening now! Time flies! Much love to Lenny and all the band members of Stone Fury and Kingdom Come 🤘

Great voice, too bad Kingdom Come pandered a little bit heavily on the Zepish sound. That tanked Lenny's career. If he'd have stayed on this track Lenny's career would've been very different. This is original and rocks.

That's wild, first thing I thought when I heard this song is that it sounds like Dokken, one of the few bands besides them that really nail the melodic mid tempo heaviness.

Back in 1993, 94 when I worked at my uncle's mechanic shop, my other uncle happened to drop off his car for some repairs. Anyways I happened to be in his car doing something when I came across his mixtapes, so I decided to pop one of the cassettes into the player and began listening to it when this song came on but for some reason never decided to look who the band was. For 27 years the damn chorus stuck with me and for 27 years I had no idea who it was, til tonight when I decided to searched KZbin for obscure bands and wouldn't you know it....the song I heard 27 years ago on my uncle's mixtape pops up. Took me 27 years to find the band that played it....27 years.😂

That's a great find. It's only the good songs that stick with you that long. I recognised the voice and I said who is that? Is it the guy from Fastway? Nope. Guy from Kingdom Come, but earlier. Great song.

Bro...I have a similar story. back in like I think it was '86 my neighbor had the end of this song on an old mixtape (really lousy sound quality) even with that I thought DAMN that's a cool tune! He played it a couple of times then they moved away so I never got to find out the name or which band. I went around to friends of mine in the metal scene and would try to hum what I remembered of the melody but nobody knew what I was talking about. Years would go by and only like 5 years ago I was on youtube and the words break down the walls came into my head...I thought hmmm, let me do a search...found only Pink Floyd vids then went down further just to see and BOOM...there it was. FINALLY had located it and got a master copy which is on almost all my playlists now!

When I first heard that 2 guitar intro, on the radio, all those years ago, I thought it was so cool how they have 2 completely different parts that fit together and make 1 great sonic texture. Then Lenny's vocals and the huge chorus pulled me in. I went and bought the album but I was disappointed that there was not really any other song that was this sonically layered like this. I always liked what Lenny did but the Kingdom Come stuff took a while to grow on me. This song was just so melodic, which is what I always liked, but Lenny generally went the other way with more basic hard rock.

Funny video, with Lenny apparently telling the drummer and bass player they sound great. Coincidentally, the drummer was gone by the time the next video was made (Life Is Too Lonely) and the bass player was gone before the next album was made. Interesting fact: Jay Schellen from the band Hurricane played drums for Stone Fury before he joined Hurricane.
