What you can do that she didn't show is, make sure all the polish is broken up. she could have used all of that for one hand. This was, it's quick, easy and less waste.

RandomRoomy I just did this last night without all that extra stuff. I just used a steady hand, 2 colors and loosened the paint with rubbing alcohol. I did it all in 5min and it turned out like a marbled granite counter top. it was beautiful!

@blushyyyyy the difference between the two is the base coat protects your natural nails. If u have nailpolish on all the time and don't protect them they may turn yellow. So it protects your natural nail. Whereas the topcoat just prevents the nailpolish from coming off too early.

A base coat is a thicker, sometimes gel layer that protects natural nails from becoming discolored and smooths out any bumps on your nail for a cleaner finish. I prefer gel ones for that reason in particular. Top coats are thinner, more liquid clear coats that apply a bright shine, or a dull matte, depending on which kind you get, and allow your design to last longer without chipping. However, they won't help protect your nail bed from discoloring if you try to use it as a base coat.

This is such an AMAZING nail art. I am SO excited to wear this to school tomorrow. The only problem is, that my lines seem to be really thick and really short and it doesn't really give the illusion of stone marble nails.
