❤❤❤ I got this kit about 3-4 weeks ago I’ve been too scared to try anything, but I finally did it yesterday just a small piece of board. I added just a little blue, OMG I love it. So I’m going to really get set up and start pouring 😁 I did the hand meld and now I want to do a dirty pour. My goal is to do my counter tops. I’ve got this!!!!! ❤❤❤

I love that dirty pour. It just comes out more natural looking to my eye. That and my artist side cringes at the fact I know if I did it by hand, it would some how turn out anything but nice looking😅

Right! It's the easiest technique for beginners, only down side is the more epoxy needed but worth it in the end!

I love the One that you did with the yellow gold, I guess you could call that color in it yellow gold. I love the dark and gold stricken through it. You do beautiful jobs, that’s all I could say just beautiful. I have been buying the product and I’m going to try it myself. The first thing I’m going to tackle is the coasters. I need some new coasters anyway, ha ha ha. Thank you so much for posting this!! Hey people I have seen several of his videos. And I have seen other videos of other people doing this type of technique. This man is a pro he is the best I have seen yet. I like his videos because he let you know what you should or shouldn’t do, and he also gives me the feeling that he’s not perfect either, that mistakes can be made. But if you notice he tells you what to do to correct that mistake by adding more light color. He’s great!!! 🥰👍👍

Thank you! The black base coat of epoxy would cover the paint pretty well, so it would look about the same, but if we switched to lighter colors we'd end up with something like our white marble recipe like in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j16pmKeCgKhkl8Ufeature=shared

We use 3/4" MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) as an inexpensive substrate that's more consistent than plywood, which would chip and flake when we round the edges.

Which of these techniques is more forgiving to do on a long kitchen countertop space for a newish DIYer? Ive read about the mix hardening within minutes when left in the bucket but you didnt seem to have any issues when working between boards, did you do anything behind the scenes to keep your epoxy liquid?

If you can remove the two that fold and pour them separately then tape off the area where the table seam are so you down cause a high point when u try to bring the folding leave up. Lemme know if you have any questions 👍

How do these granite looking, or any epoxy counter top, how do they take the daily abuse in a well used kitchen? An accidental drop or a hot pan? Or if you have lighter colors squished berries or red wine stains?

Great questions. The epoxy is very durable especially with our Ultimate top coat applied. Heat resistant up to 450. Check out the video on our channel called Hillbilly lab test. I throw everything at the epoxy!

I was confused at the beginning. I re-run the video until I read "A" on the container while you poured. I am going to use epoxy for the first time and I am watching several videos about the mixing timings and how to mix the colors. This video shows the effect I clearly had in mind, but my project is waiting just there because I wasn't sure how to come up with such effect. However, you verbally skipped a step after you said you will start with "B" first, I kept waiting to see when exactly to add "A" to "B". I wonder if you left other secrets out ... like, do really those colors waited in the cups for that long without curing inside the cups? Other than those two points, your final work is absolutely Gorgeous in both projects!
