The logic of this alternate ending is; Tenpenny and his colleagues try to frame CJ. Then, CJ try to avenged him by taking back his stolen moneys & his lost luggage (caused by them). Turns out, after killing Tenpenny some secrets blowed (Big Smoke were a traitor). After killing Big Smoke, the problem solved (but lot secret remains unknown).

Ryder shouldn't have been a traitor in the original version. Which makes sense since all Ryder Missions are for the gang and Big Smoke's for himself. They had to make Ryder a traitor because they took characters out and shortened the game/made it smaller. The original idea was to have 3 main protagonist, like in GTA V. Which explains why all of a sudden you have to do Hillbilly and Casino/Mafia missions with CJ.
