As an archaeologist I would agree with you regarding the use of smaller stones at Callaghan Berra. Also it was Barclodiad y Gawres (The Giantess’s Apronful’) that you were talking about in Anglesey. Well done with the pronunciation too ;)

So when me and my wife visit the Boyne valley for a week or two how do I find you guys. Guiness and whiskey on me. I'd like to some fishing too. I wanna catch the Salmon of knowledge.

In accordance with Irish traditions, all visitors are made welcome and the Irish, like every nation, enjoys a free drink, you wont go short of drinking buddies. Fishing wise you will be spoiled but note there is a season for river salmon that varies from river to river but generally speaking is March to May. You will also be restricted on how many you can catch what you can fish with both legally and in some places morally but again it varies from river to river as fishing rights are often privately owned while still subject to national laws. I would recommend May both for weather and fishing and visit the Boyne Valley on your journey west or on the way back to catch your flight in Dublin

Anthony, can I just ask what you mean by the link in mythology between Loughcrew and Anglesey? Can you point me to where I can read about this, please?

Barclodiad y Gawres apparently means "giantess apronful". The story of Loughcrew is that a giant hag/goddess dropped the stones from her apron to form the cairns.
