Small tip is to do the quest for the priest in mannshire, so you can get him to sell you a large quantity of good priced healing supplies. Also take a look at the dash skill in athletics, it might just help you kite, as well as putting points in perception so you can shoot from 1 more tile away at 15.

Happy New year! Try going for 15 perception now that you hit 15 willpower. That +1 vision and +1 sight helps a ton, your a ranged character after all. I like to go for 15 in two stats before going for 20 in one of them, sometimes even 15 in 3 stats like when i'm doing a dual wield axe build. Those bonus really make a difference.

If you have a crossbow or bow with very long range, you can use it to draw in the enemies. Shoot an object far from you and they'll go towards the sound or if you miss a shot or two and you're far enough for them to not literally notice you (they'll have question marks above them), you can keep on shooting at them which I find very funny. Shooting at the ground also draws them to the spot you shot at, I've only tested (my aim just suck, wasn't actually testing) this with a guard crossbow with 10 range.

If you want to go full on magic, then willpower. But you tend to use crossbow in offhand hence some perception is required.

I feel like you're pulling back so hard you're not making use of the initial space to deal damage to enemies and end up against the wall as a result. That's how you were forced to fight 2 enemies in the starting room as a result, which is a worse situation that conducting a fighting retreat instead.
