The maps and satellite images really bring a strong descriptive detail to these videos. Well done

Lee defied all military conventions by splitting his forces up into three separate groups. It’s so brilliant but I personally think only Lee and Jackson could pull this off. Thank you for all your hard work, we really appreciate it!

as a descendent of someone from the 55th picket lines, I appreciate how you pointed out that the soldiers in the field tried to raise the alarm, but were let down by the higher corps and army level officers.

In defense of that part of G&G, when we shot that portion of the movie it was right after 9/11 and the availability of reenactors was very low. We only had couple hundred to try and make look like thousands of different soldiers. When we shot 1st Manassas a month earlier we had nearly 2000 reenactors present. That is why you see the same guys over and over, just with slight changes in our uniforms that we made amongst ourselves by swaping hats, jackets, packs, accoutrements, and even our unit placements in line.

It helps tremendously when the viewers know which way the camera is facing. When showing the countryside, telling or showing the cardinal directions adds a lot of value. It’s great when the speakers do it. You can also add it in post production using graphic words or arrows on the screen. It really helps drone footage. This is a good improvement the ABT team has made over the past couple years.

According to one historian, while Hooker was only two miles to the east of the flank attack, he did not hear any sounds of the fighting. Only when a courier informed him did he become aware of the violent conflict to his west. Regarding the passive attitude of the 11th Corps, it's possible the sounds of fighting, south toward the Catherine Furnace, where an 11th Corps brigade went, may have been heard. Those sounds of gunfire south of their position may have convinced 11th Corps troops that the rebels were nowhere near them on the Federal right flank.

The thing is that they weren't rebels, that's stupid.
Thank you for such good narrative and on site videos of where things took place. Next time, please allow more time for looking at maps, etc. that go along with the narrative. It’s hard to get oriented as to what is being displayed (or finding the referenced site), because the visual is only on screen for a short time. I realize that the video could be paused, but that sometimes makes the narrative become disjointed.

You ever heard the phrase" pause video", and if you own a printer to make copy of subject matter. Making Copies on SNL Get lt?

So, Kris, tell us your true feelings about Oh.Oh. Howard. Haha. I'm not a fan of the cry baby either. I have multiple ancestors that served in the 153rd PaV., my maternal grandma coming from Delaware water gap. I'm also not a fan of the punk Barlow. Keep up the really good work guys and gals. Many thanks

When we took the tour around 10 years ago, the guide told us that the monument site of Jackson's wounding was not accurate. He said that the correct spot is probably somewhere in the car park next to the visitor center. Is this still the consensus? Thanks.
