Stoney Creek Scout X off-road camper review

Last year we purchased the Stoney Creek Scout X off-road camper to take on our off-roading trips. We love it so much we thought we’d share it with you. This is NOT a paid review, just us sharing a great camper. Join me as I walk you through all the different aspects of this camper.
We have taken it on some some really rough roads, through mud and stones on many different trips. It’s been along the Birdsville track, through the backroads along the darling, through sand at Big desert plus more.
Previously we had a hard floor forward-fold camper which was ok, but a bit onerous as we generally only stop one night before moving on.
The Scout X is remarkably quick to set up and pack up and even the awning quickly swings out and packs away. If you’re looking for an off-road camper, that has all you need, is sturdy and has a straightforward, simple setup, then this is well worth looking into.
Note: It does have a removable table, which is not set up as we only use it for sleeping. We prefer to eat and relax outside around the campfire. It also has a tv, that we don’t use.

Thanks for the Vid. We have the same van. How do you go on dusty roads? Any dust inside?

No, there hasn’t been. The windows have two closure settings, we use the tightest one, as recommended when we picked it up from the dealer. The only problem we’ve had is the ‘electric’ step, which died on our first or second trip, mind you we crossed some very rocky and rough roads and we knew it wouldn’t last when we first looked at the van. The little folding step we have works well.
