That's a proper piece of English Countryside! Thank you for sharing from a Gloucestershire girl who now lives in Florida! X

Aye, it certainly is a lovely bit of countryside. I grew up in South Gloucestershire; some good countryside round there :)

Gosh! That looked narrow. How's your knees Dave? Mine would be shattered to be fair. Well done for the explore. It certainly looked like Ammonites in the stone. Most probably - The whole place is riddled in limestone so the stone is readily available. 😊

Was a bit narrow though not the narrowest I've been in lol. Thankfully this wasn't a hands & knees job so my knees faired alright. They certainly look like ammonites to me. That's what I'm going with at the moment 😊

@@westcountryexplorer The Internet makes us all geniuses. I spent years in the 60s and 70s to learn German. Now Google does it all!

@@memlagu Google will never replace the proper way when it comes to learning a foreign language. Every once in a blue moon, for a bit of personal amusement, I like to use google translate to translate something into a foreign language then back into English again; the results can be quite interesting at times.
