It's good men and bad men everywhere. Rich or poor the only thing different is in the Hood The Good men are largely outcast or simply ignored because the bad men are seen as masculine and desirable. This is the dynamic of the modern Black community and this must be destroyed. I seen so many educated Black males who carried themselves with dignity and class be denied by the women in their community. Even by Black women supposedly on their level. The brainwashing must end. I want to see Black men like Keith feel seen in the community and black women who say they want a Keith actually mean it and attain it. Healthy black families and romance amongst each other.

Was this a set made to look like a house, as opposed to a physical location? I can’t find the filming location for his house anywhere online. If someone finds it, please let me know!

The Keith character in Set it off will always be my favorite character. It was one of the first time I seen such a classy , romantic, and educated young Black man in cinema besides Eddie Murphy in coming 2 America and maybe a denzel film idk. Even though Keith not a major character as a young black male growing up I felt i seen myself in his style and class . I admired his mentality and perspective. I often went through the same thing dating women that's so hard to get out their guard knowing you not trying to hurt them but to love them and show them more to life. It's a hurt that lingers trust me . Nevertheless, Keith character is also a lesson in this. Date women who ready for you if you have to wrestle too much it's gonna leave you empty because she have to fix her own life and trauma and you do too. Come together healed or else .
