On our first-ever exploration of Long Island, we were amazed at all we could see and do within walking distance of the Stony Brookside Bed & Bike Inn. Avalon Preserve beckoned with hiking, the Long Island Museum with its New York history and carriage collections, and live jazz at the Jazz Museum the evening we were in town.
