I really liked this vlog format. There's a lot of design chat on KZbin on Sundays, and I often overload myself with information. On Sundays, I want to relax. I'm also a visual and tactile learner; I can take all the notes on design rules but never revisit them or stay focused because it doesn't sink in. You always pick out the best interior images that aren't the few often circulating around and do such a good job at noting why they work. By the way, our home looks stunning-so elevated, serene, interesting, and beautiful. I always look forward to your videos and congrats on the launch of your business!💛

I went to school for Environmental Design and minored in architecture. I have an amazing job in conservation now but my true love is interior design. Yes, this is great! So much useful content, especially because of the layering in your video. The refined combination of information and personal preferences. Like part 1, with the valuable aspect of you telling us to develop our own voice. That builds confidence, next to keeping eyes and ears open to inspo. And then you give this inspo, by showing images of your own style, but combined with all kinds of info. Like why this image is beautiful and what designer the items are from. I learned a lot about designer pieces on the internet, and it helped me to develop an eye for quality and to reach higher. Not that I can afford these pieces, although sometimes I can, but I aim different now. Also with budget pieces. And your part 2 is exactly what my process is, with my own adjectives. Part 3 is just lovely. Thank you. And congrats with your anniversaries! Oh, and the video is not too long at all!

Hahahaha well Grady I am definitely planning to make longer vlogs indeed! I was testing the waters I suppose. Yes, you are right, even if pieces are out of our budget it still gives us an understanding of why the piece was made, or the significance. There's always a new level of appreciation these things. It gives us a chance to recognize quality, just as you mention to reach higher--and recognize when you find something within your budget of good quality. (Knowing you found a gem and got a great deal is always fun, too!) Also, yes I see you taking brave steps with your designs on social and I absolutely love it! You home is coming along so nicely and full of creativity. Congratulations!

Happy Anniversary and congratulations on launching your interior design website! I really enjoyed the format of this vlog very much (definietly NOT too long btw). From the beginning words of encouragement...leading us ever forward in our unique journey as interior designers- to the personal moments of joy and quiet reflection you find in your home at the end of the vlog. The significance of honing in on our personal style, rather than some kind of formula of rules and trends. I never did that - but it is encouraging to hear words to remind us to push our boundaries, and dare! - in whichever artistic form we desire. You remind us that there is no wrong choice- that we will continue to change and evolve in our tastes...but we must always follow our instinct, a true compass to achieving good design.
