I simply learned to keep really really close to the LORD and keep healthy distances with people and absolutely expect nothing in return. If I do something for someone do it for Jesus first and then them and never expect anything in return. Pray for those people who offend you too and let the LORD handle it.

@@adietraw5837 Hi, I'm happy my message was a blessing to you. There is nothing wrong with wanting to have good friends. I can relate since I was the only child to my parents. Today the LORD has blessed me with a wonderful wife and 4 kids. I had gone through very rough patch in my early 20s and was suicidal. My love and devotion to the LORD alone was probably the precursor for my blessing. For now fill your heart, mind, and soul with the LORD Himself. Acknowledge and cultivate your relationship with the Holy Spirit and place Him as your best friend. Talk to Jesus and the Father throughout your day. The LORD longs deeply for you more than you long for friends. As you acknowledge Him daily and grow in Him, you will find for satisfaction beyond what the world can offer. Place Him and dedicate all of yourself first and in due time I believe the LORD will guide you towards good friends suitable for you. Many blessings in Lord Jesus's name.

I feel that this was a necessary word. There are things that are out of our control. Sometimes people enjoy being offended for example when I was on social media, I saw posts that would have bothered me. However, I would just scroll and not block, report or unfollow people. I may dislike what you say but I will defend your right to say it.

I just don't know how to hold my tongue whenever I'm offended. I feel much better after I have cursed out the person who offended me and then I am able to move on and easily forgive.. but if I don't do that then I feel like the offense lingers on my mind much longer than it should be. Pray for me because I easily forgive and forget an offense but only after I curse you out! but I know that's not the way God wants us to address offenses. I really need prayers in this area.

I dont actually disagree with this teach with respect to offense...it is a good teaching...its just that much of the church does not define offense correctly...they leave a big grey area where it starts to meld with abuse...you have many christians that are trained to take abuse.. offense and abuse are two different things
@QueenEsther4144 жыл бұрын
Meredith Brown Exactly! And we must remember that everything isn’t always coming from the devil. A lot of it is the flesh (carnal) and it still doesn’t give folks the right to disrespect each other especially in the church, it’s borderline “bullying.”

I agree. There’s a difference between forgiveness and reconciliation. It’s not for us to take abuse but yes, the church has to be careful when teaching this because many take it as God will change the relationship if we forgive but the offender has to make it right.

Yup. Americans get easily offended for sure. I have experienced that in the last twenty years in America. That's the reason culture as a whole Americans are distant from each other. That leads to loneliness in USA. Easily offended is the reason the failure of many American divorces. So sad. So sad because even Christians are severely affected by this.
@meredithbrown9444 жыл бұрын
I do have a question. Often a person will say do not be offended...and substitute the word offense with abuse...i had some lie on me right in front of me ...which affects reputation. That is not offense..that is control and manipulation...we can be angry and sin not...i was not offended...i was angry...when people do not allow Jesus to heal them...they tend to abuse others....that does hurt and that is not offense..that is being stolen from
@meredithbrown9444 жыл бұрын
All the church teaches is about offense. They never teach how to deal with demonized personalities...well i can tell yall, love the person...bind and loose...and do not have any level of relationship with that person beyond what God authorizes..and truly pray for that person..

1 Corinthians 13:2 that is listed on this video is incorrect to the passage explained. "I have fed you with milk, and not with meat; for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able." is actually 1CORINTHIANS 3:2. I would suggest watching your your videos before posting them for mistakes like this. Blessings.
