The truth is - being weak and strong is a state that exists in all of us and it is whatever you want it to be. You can choose to believe that being strong is better than being weak. You can choose to believe that being weak has it’s benefits too. Or you can choose to believe that they are equal - not better or worse than each other. Being strong or weak is part of the natural flow of life. We can’t always be strong and we are not always weak

Respectfully disagree. The only time being weak is helpful is when it teaches you just how weak you actually are. To acknowledge you are weak takes a certain strength of character but the real test is what do you do when faced with this weakness. You can tell yourself that being weak is ok and continue to be of lesser quality or you can change it so that you are not weak but strong. This is the only way that sentient beings overcome obstacles both physically, mentally and psychologically. Today society tells us it's ok to be of weak character, low drive and to be generally mediocre. Proof of this is in the schools that refuse to grade kids or sports that dont encourage winning. Essentially society saying it's ok to be weak. Goggins sees the danger in this type of thinking as should all sentient beings that wish to have successful lives which always involves overcoming obstacles and struggling to be better. Nature demands that the weak either become strong or die. There is no compromise in this regard.

I’ve suffered crippling anxiety, to the point I haven’t been able to leave my house to get food in, I gave up my dream job I’d worked so hard to get, because of anxiety, but I’m fighting back, and training to do a childhood dream that sets off every fear and anxiety I have lol. I’ve found as you start fighting back and facing fears, you grow as a person, and even if the anxiety doesn’t go, you perhaps feel even stronger for doing it despite the fear. You can do it dude 👊🏻

(Not a native speaker, I'm sorry if the grammar isn't perfect) For 2 years now, i've been fighting a severe anxiety, every day for 2 years was a battle, last year, just leaving my house took me a tremendous effort, but i never gave up, i let the anger of being not able to do things i wanted to slowly become greater than my anxiety, now i use it to fight this "monster" my mind created. 2 weeks ago I went through a major panic attack, one that could hold me back inside my house for weeks in 2019, but this time I conquered it, and accomplished my goal (that was triggering the anxiety). Bro, you got this, it could take time, but you got this. If i could give you any tips, it would be: always look for great men to get inspiration from, come closer to God, and work on your fighter mentality

I really was the kid born with silver spoon that lost the motivation and fight to go for anything. My anxiety and depression didn’t help but I have to fight past that. But instead I lived in fear was scared of things going wrong. If people hating me. When I should have been living for me. As the best me can be the best me for the important others in my life too.

Grade 9 English Class. This classroom was special because it had Pi written around the room - 2-3 digits per A4 Landscape Sheet. And it just curved around the entire room. I openly told my peers the following challenge, that I would spend just one term memorising and reciting it with 15mins a week from my English class - to prove to them what can be accomplished with repetition, what can be accomplished by putting your mind to a single task. And in those three months I learnt Pi to 134 decimal places. I still know and remember 81 to this day, 12 years later - 8 of those years as drug abusive, mind numbing, escapism. Reap what you sow. Now, I'm on that grind. Recovering, but never forgetting, the importance of mental fortitude. Calculate and Inculcate - what's required for you to be where you want to be, whip that inner monster into that task and repeat. Never forget.

Being around the hardest of the hardest still provides an external source of strength. I spent over a decade in indefinite solitary confinement at Pelican Bay's Security Housing Unit (SHU). I saw men gradually deteriorate mentally, spiritually, socially physically...that shit was fucking torture. Men consumed their own fecal matter, showered with Kool aid water (bc the color "infused life vibrations" into them.) No windows, no contact with no one, no sight other than cold gray concrete walls, bunks, steel perforated doors...no sight of nature, no trees, no birds, no life. I made a decision early on. I would not allow them to break me. I developed a strict discipline routine. I worked out everyday. I studied and taught myself the law. I learned punctuation, grammar, expanded my vocabulary. Developed critical thinking skills and pursuasive writing. I got to a point where I felt confident. Filed a U.S.C 1983 civil lawsuit. I litigated the case for over a decade from solitary confinement with only a 7th grade education. I defeated 5 different deputy attorney generals (actual lawyers with 4 year law school degrees.) The lawsuit culminated in a federal jury trial where the prison officers were found guilty of unconstitutional retaliation by fabricating evidence to place and keep me in indefinite solitary confinement. The proudest moment of my life: hearing the jury foreman announce the guilty verdicts against my enemies...people that conspired against me to torture and kill me mentally, physically and spiritually. I was able to prevail because: I DUG DEEP INSIDE MYSELF...AND FOUND THAT THE GREATEST SOURCE OF STRENGTH COMES NOT FROM WITHOUT...BUT, FROM WITHIN EACH AND EVERYONE OF US. BREAK THROUGH ALL THE BULLSHIT BOUNDARIES THE PEOPLE IN POWER PLACE AROUND, OVER AND UNDER YOU. FIGHT!!

It’s mostly physical pain that has to be worked through. Bad back makes the warriors mindset hard as fuck to hold on, while I have to use all strength to stand or drag my myself around. But none the less I make myself go so my family does not have to use their time , biding my time. Damn it is hard. Like life. And worth doing.
