Very nice, Eric! In each and every dream we make the same mistake: we identify with the person and regard the rest as other(s). Each time it takes awakening to (be able to) realize our mistake. Realizing you essentially are consciousness, simply because consciousness is all there is (as in any dream), is realizing you are not a person but the whole dream (this time called 'life'). Although you are experiencing it from a person's perpective, that person/ego is an illusion.

Somehow wealth and material possessions adhere me to the person I take myself to be. I am able to discern the fallacy in concepts of my being a person. Yet I cannot transcend the attachment to the foundation of building blocks, which are still grounding me in this life condition. When I let go and stop holding on to concepts, my person is still at large. Gautama the Buddha was a royal who practiced detachment to the extent that he renounced his home life to live as a wandering ascetic in order to reach enlightenment. When I stop believing in being someone, the evidence remains.

That only holds true as long as "my" and "mine" remain. This aspect of "me" is still believed....so believing in being someone has not stopped yet.

They call me by names dissaspoint, looser, and reminding me every day what i dont have in life. Yes, all identification is misidentification. Furthermore, you would be identifying with a concept called "pure consciousness". Also, does pure consciousness need to identify as pure consciousness or is it something else trying to identify as pure consciousness?

@@NondualityChannel Thanks! I think I don't identify with the concept of "pure consciousness" or the words behind. It's more like that I identify with the sense of consciousness. I "see" with consciousness that I'm that which is without properties and then I think "oh I'm that".

So you are trying to identify with a sense or experience? Also, it is exactly my point that thought comes in later and says "oh I'm that"...but now it is an object and you really are not that object. Why is there this need to identify and be someone?

@@NondualityChannel I think you are right, it’s not an identification with a person, but an identification with a sense or experience and then the brain “translates” this experience in words and make it to an object. But before that happen, I can see clearly that I’m no person or object and I’m not defined. Once I have also seen that I’m everything, the whole universe. But this I can’t see regularly. Seems for this the understanding and awakening is not deep enough.

Identification/identity is to define oneself, so fundamentally that which is not defined (i.e. undefined) can not be an identity.

This morning, a video appeared and I had to watch it. "Appeared? What does that mean exactly, 'appeared?'" Lol, It appeared in my consciousness! "Oh, I see ... but how did this happen? You woke up and there it was, floating in front of you?" Thankfully, no. I went to the computer and it appeared in my KZbin feed and I chose to click on it because I was listening to source. "Well, I understand source, but I don't understand what you mean by 'computer' or 'KZbin.'" Hmmm, well I'm not sure how to explain it to you if you've never experienced a physical lifetime. "You mean I need to go to planet earth in order to understand these 'computers and KZbins?'" I'm not trying to talk you into it, but yeah ... experience is the only way to know what I'm talking about, words can only go so far. "I see. I mean, I understand, sort of." Yeah, well that's great. Anyway, I'm going to thank the author, Eric, for providing this video, it was good to listen to. "Yes, great. I understand 'author,' but actually I'm not quite clear about this word you say, 'video.'" Yep, that makes sense. Anyway, I gotta go now... "Okay, thank you." You're welcome! "So... may I ask one more question before you go, I mean, would you mind telling me how do I get to this, uh ... planet earth?"

How can you be so comfortable with saying "You" and how can you say "we were conditioned" when we are literally not existing? Who are you talking to? And what is your motivation in awakening souls that don't exist? Why do you have a wife if you don't identify with anything? How can you love her if you believe she is ? I'm in pain and all alone, scared to never be able to end pain alltogether (after religions like Buddhism, Christianity and Hinduism promised eternal bliss after many painful incarnations) Sorry for the feeling in your gut while reading this, I just hate my life and not understanding you makes it worse

I am using normal conventions of speech...but I am referring to the body-mind(s) and not an identity when I say "you", "we", "I", etc. Just talking to myself really. I am not trying to awaken souls. This body-mind has parents and a sister and brother-in-law, so why not a wife? There is love of Self and there is nothing other than Self.

What seems totally weird for me is that every living being sees its life from the pov and there is no multitasking of the one one. Like when is the one self taking the "time" to play every worm, every dog cat ox cow dolphin boy girl man woman? Or are these NPCs?

@@Lenny-u3x Good question. I think there is no induvidual soul which incarnates in many lifes. I think there is only one "soul" here which plays everyone and everything and at the same time. This means that we are all the same in the background. And our individual brains are connected to the same universal consciousness. All nightmare can vanish. In my childhood I had very night nightmare dreams. And now I had maybe 3 in the last 10 years.

You start your video with "My name is Eric Putkonen." If you have a name you must be someone, or something. My name is not Eric Putkonen so I am not you. I am someone else. Even if I am not Eric Putkonen, by the simple fact that I am not Eric means I must be something else. Clearly, I am a human being so if I am not Eric Putkonen I must be someone, i.e. a different human being. You can stop believing in being someone, but you cannot stop from being someone. Belief is the problem, not the being.

When it is said "my name is Eric Putkonen", there is no identification or identity felt..instead what is being said is "this body-mind is known as Eric Putkonen". But it sounds strange to say this, so the conventions of normal speach are used and so "my name is Eric Putkonen". I am not somebody (not a human being)...I am not someone. But it is obvious you don't care about nonduality and just want to argue the point.

@@NondualityChannel Why then is not your body-mind someone if it is Eric Putkonen? You are body-mind. You acknowledge that. So in a sense you are someone. It may be we do not have a unique soul, or even a soul at all, but rather our spirit is non-dual. That I can understand because our spirit is not tangible. It is something we sense. You may not identify as Eric Putkonen in terms of your body mind. Is that a good thing? Certainly you do not want to be egotistical about being Eric. That may tie into your spirit. If you eliminate or minimize your ego, you may be better in understanding your spirit. But, that does not mean you are not someone. You are someone because you have a body mind regardless of whether you identify with it. Thanks Eric for you reply. You obviously make me think. I hope I do that for you. I do care about nonduality, that is why I am replying. I think if I can make sense of it, it will help me better with my life journey. You probably will say there is nothing to make sense of. But, you are arguing a point as well. I am only challenging you to better understand what nonduality is all about. Should I just accept what you say without critical thinking of some sort? That I cannot accept.

@@marti7343 No, I did not acknowledge that...I am not the body or mind. I don't even have a body-mind. If anything, I am the whole show...I am all body-minds. Not a someone, but perhaps where everyone and no one meets. No "me" left to identify with THAT. "Should I just accept what you say without critical thinking of some sort" - no, don't accept what I say. It must be seen/realized directly. Critical thinking will not help because it is a knowing that is inherently non-conceptual.
