This video was perfect timing for me Austin since I just started lean bulk after being in a cut for about 4-5 months. Currently at 165 Ib with a 10% BF. Trying to push myself to 180 IB while staying lean. I definitely got the genetics to pull it off since I’m only a 1 1/2 year into my fitness journey but I’m focused😤

@blancxj
@blancxj Жыл бұрын
There is a lot of research on that topic. Many of them say that you don’t need to be in a caloric surplus to build muscle. There are many examples of maingainers or gaintainers that say if you’re in a healthy bf% and you keep your calories at maintenance while progressively overload you will still end up getting more muscular. But anyway. I personally find your target rate of weight gain a bit too rapid. 0.25-0.5lb a week for a natural is more realistic when it comes to lean bulking without gaining too much fat. It’s also important to mention that the more advanced you get the less muscle you’ll be able to build as you get closer to your genetic ceiling.

I’ll be honest. It’s not optimised bulking at 14%. You could do that but you have to accepting looking not your best for a little bit to create more potential and cut first. If I were you personally, I’d do a mini cut (3-4 weeks) and train hard and ensure protein intake is high. That way you’d at least maintain muscle mass and potentially gain muscle whilst losing BF. Then go on the lean bulk. Always good to stay within the 10% - 15% range

This video is just wrong advice, bulking is a fad. Building muscle takes time eating extra calories doesn't increase muscle mass as much as people think. You can max gain 15ibs of muscle in first year of training yet with this method gain 0.5-1ib of weight a week, which will be 24-48ibs in a year. You really think most of that is muscle? no just build muscle from a healthy bodyfat percentage, no need to bulk & cut constantly.

@franbatista9062
@franbatista9062 Жыл бұрын
Incorrect. You need to eat around 200-300 above but high protein diet. I’d suggest 1.2-1.5 grams protein per pound. Macros do matter a lot, and protein is the macronutrient, even in excess amounts, is hard to convert to fat mass. Whereas if you eat too many carbs without needing them, your body will convert that to glucose, sugar and then fat
