Hey man, I get your frustration. Im a graffiti artist, specialised in mandala murals. My work gets copied all the time. I used to get frustrated about it but thats a waste of energy. Nowadays I just see it as a compliment that people try to copy my work. Better spend your energy on becoming an even better artist! I just picked up tattooing and you're a big inspiration my man! They will never come close, you are on a level of your own! Keep doing what you do, you do it very well!!

That’s crazy. I’ve always ran into artists that say this is a no-no unless I got permission to use it. Even with just cartoon art, I had do ask…luckily both approved. The Tattoo artist did a bit of changing the details, assuming she was worried about the small details healing, smudging? But I love your work! !!

It’s actually not about “do not copy my tattoo”, but if you ask for a tattoo artist to blatantly copy other ppl’s tattoo art, which probably not within the tattoo artist’s art style, you’ll get a bad result. Daniel said that it’s okay to use his work as inspiration, but do not copy it. If you get a tattoo artist that copy other’s art, run. That means the tattoo artist is not good enough, and they work on a medium that’s not in their strength.

Copying has been a pervasive trend for years; tattoo artists have copied the same creatures, roses, stopwatches, etc... Photographers who captured these images should have been compensated generously, considering how tattoo artists frequently use their photos. Now days AI makes it simpler to create something new, but AI itself is just stealing from everyone else and if any tattoo artist is using AI to create thier work then they too have no rights to be upset.

Night and day difference for sure. I think if they would've done a better job of shading it may have came put a little cleaner. I used to do tats in 08-2010, just got my order in of tools, but have never used a tat pen before, so I'm kinda nervous about it lol. Inspiration is one thing, but using a screenshot as a stencil is unreal, I'm neither an artist nor tattooist, and even I know taking a 2d picture, of a 3d surface/image and then try putting it on a 3d surface isn't really going to work

You’re on point with it you know I get it I do tattoos as well there’s no flash on my walls my art books all of my stuff is my own stuff and yeah I’ve I’ve copied other people stuff but not to the extent. Yeah I do change a lot of design you know and that’s just you know even the law states on copyrights that you gotta change I think it’s 10% of an image or 10% of the design you know whether it’s mechanical whatever I don’t know the exact law no there’s a law with a copyrights but you’re right change stuff up man you know every artist has his own style you know what you do with the stippling and the dot work is amazing I don’t do that style myself. You’re amazing artist you’re funny as hell that’s what you know I watch you with them little hand and hat shaking of your head that shits funny keep it up keep moving forward brother I should be in LA again next year 2025. I think I’d love to swing by your place to set up a consult maybe get something done. You can see the one that looks really clean but you can tell they copied Daniel like it’s ok to have inspiration from him but don’t copy his art you can look at his design and get an idea but you don’t wanna copy it when I see a Daniel Silva tattoo I know it’s one of his but I’ve gotten ideas for tattoos that were done by him but you don’t copy it and if you have permission from the original artist you could copy it and get the same exact tattoo the artist who did the copy just has to put not my original art work but I don’t like the idea of copying other peoples art and plus I think it’s cooler when you have an original idea but yeah people shouldn’t be copying someone else’s work in my opinion
