8:36 The cam driver says "That's not your lane!" But it actually is. You can see at the beginning of the clip that the far left lane is left only and the lane to the right of that, which the red car is in, is left and straight. The cam driver should be staying harder to the left, they end up switching from the left to the middle lane in the middle of the intersection.

6:30 That's actually common with early 2000s GMC and Chevy trucks. The hubs separate even though the nuts are torqued properly. Factory defect with how the hubs were designed. Almost always the driver rear, too. Something about how force is applied to it differently compared to the drive tire on the passanger rear. Had a new hub on an 03 Silverado do this a couple of years ago. Having to replace one rim and hub cap to match all the others was the real pain. Re-doing the rear end was nothing compared to tracking those down.

33:41 What happened is the SUV's front left tire collided with the other car's rear right tire, and they essentially grabbed each other. When this happens, a tremendous amount of energy/force from the collision is built up due to the elasticity/friction of the rubber and centrifugal/centripetal forces of the tires spinning at hundreds of rpm and hitting each other. The energy/force is then rapidly released, kind of like a rubber band, and flings the car in the air. The centripetal/centrifugal force of the left side of the SUV being flung up causes it to flip to the right. Not a perfect explanation, but it should suffice. There are good examples of this in racing. Especially with single seater open wheel cars like F1, IndyCar, F2, F3, etc., where the entire car can be thrown into the air from touching tires. Unfortunately it seems hard to specifically google. I suppose crash compilations are the best place to find them.

27:45 so for a bit of contex and explanation: Semis and other high profile/tall vehicles are often fighting the wind as much as they drive. This appears to be a case where the FedEx trucker got hit with a pretty stiff gust of wind and nearly got blown into the other truck. Personal experience: I was driving down a tight road when someone from the left lane turned into my lane and cut me off, less than a foot from hitting me. The car then turns into a right turn lane, but instead turning right, the car turns into my lane right in front of me again. We then come across a railroad crossing light and the car turns right on a red light (which you're not suppose to do at a railroad crossing). Luckily instant CARma hit them when it turns out a officer was right behind us the whole time. I cheered all the way to where they pulled over, then I focused back on the road and got home with no other issues. 5:28 I know this street. 28:40 This happened in Peoria, not Pekin. 57:35 That bowling alley is where my younger sister always has her birthday parties.

My teacher tought me "Yellow is a warning for you to slow down to stop if possible, OR for you to shift the first gear and get ready". You may pass if braking would be danger to others, such as a sudden stop But how do you get so privileged that you decide that everything bends to you, that's just beyond me ... and it's more and more common in the world. This selfish egocentric behaviour ... why btw - I am considering posting my own dash footage. Not to brag, but you'd like it, I have a high quality cams. Old car, yes, but I invested in the cam after I had a crash falling asleep on highway (nobody hurt) and had no idea what happened (I somehow went through a ditch, back on the road and parked on sideway with both front tires punctured badly, woke up right after).

0:52 I also hate when A. the brake lights and rear turn signals are combined, and 2. the rear turn signals are red, not amber 1:56 Pretty sure civilians aren’t supposed to PIT people. 4:08 It is not. Where the pickup turned to, however, is, going the opposite direction (or actually, the exit to a parking lot) 4:57 If I am to make a guess, they were going too fast for the loop ramp they were on. 6:38 Looks like the wheel nuts weren’t even close to sufficiently torqued down 13:06 There’s a perfectly good sidewalk... 15:21 Sort of. One car at a time is allowed to guarantee a left turn when the light changes (as long as it isn’t a red arrow; those you need to stop and stay for), but the last *clear* chance doctrine applies-that chance *must* be clear. Really, they should’ve waited a bit longer. 19:56 If I were the driver in that Equinox, I would’ve ended up hitting. They came incredibly close. It’s a miracle they didn’t hit. 26:01 Nope, Toyota Sienna. 29:00 I really hope that isn’t the death trap cloverleaf at the I-80/I-55 junction 30:46 Yes, two cars getting in front is totally how to zipper merge. Totally (/s) 39:40 Any amount is too much to drive if they just had it. 40:50 They used their turn signal, but they were pretty close, but cam driver also did slow down. 42:12 Hmm, something tells me they were a little too close to make that lane change 43:31 Drive for the conditions!! Even with winter tires, you need to slow down! 44:07 Judging by those lighting flares, I think the windshield may have an astigmatism. Granted, so does mine (as happens after 20+ years of bombardment by particulate matter). 57:39 I do not see a signal on that Journey.

Loved the video @dragonspitvt! Can't wait for the next video Girl! I never thought you'd have driven a Mustang, I thought you would've have something like maybe an Audi A4 Quatro or something LMAO! Interesting thing of note for your tires is that the Technical term for Those with Worn Treads is that They're Bald. My dad worked at Merchant's Auto while he was in College, so he's always working on the Cars at home when he's got the Time for it as well as the Money to Buy the Needed Parts. The 1984 Pontiac Fiero has sadly become a Project on it's own at this point. Two Tires that need to be Changed out, Front Windshield needs to be Replaced because our Neighbors Hickory Tree dropped a Nut on it (by the Top edge where it meets the Framing) and cracked it (Subsequent Bad weather made it so that the Interiors probably going to have to be Redone as well) on top of it hasn't been driven since about 2012. Within a year or so of my dad getting it, he was brought into Traffic Court for Speeding, Cop Didn't show up but apparently in the State of Maryland any cars with a Spoiler are considered to be Sports Cars and even if you're in the Speed Limit you're still getting a Speeding Tricket. So guess what, My dad had to Remove the Spoiler and fill in the Holes where the Screws to hold it down went. Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video Girl!

for those that do not know about flashing red traffic light the dash cam at fault if he had hit that car this why. When you see a flashing red light, you stop your vehicle completely, observe the traffic around, and proceed with caution once you are clear that rule there
@xHadesStampsАй бұрын
Nope, flashing red traffic signals are treated as stop signs. When all signals are flashing red, it’s treated as an all-way stop. Last clear chance would make the cam driver liable if they did indeed have the chance to stop, but the car they hit shouldn’t have proceeded.

I mean it turned yellow long before hte cam driver got to the intersection. They had 10 years to slow down. I feel like maybe some fault could be placed on the driver turning, but also cam driver did not appear to slow down at all.
