I hear you on the "tote shuffling". I know what I need to do. As far as donate bins, I save a few boxes large from Chewy to use for donations. Thanks for the information.

I like the mindfulness of decluttering so I set myself a realistic time then I never regret getting rid of stuff in haste which works

I use cardboard boxes for donate bins. It makes donating easy. Close the box, put it in the car to go.

I love this! This is my spring break week and I used this time to go through all the keepsake bins I have. I have one less bin of keepsakes than I started the week with and I feel so happy with that progress ☺️ Thanks for posting these encouraging and helpful videos! Have a great weekend! 🤗

I love beast mode when I’m feeling it. Lol. My biggest issue was when is it enough? Or did I get to some major plateau yet? Will I ever? I tend to have that issue across the board tho. Best advice was def to stop for awhile and rest and just enjoy all the changes so far. It’s kind of a never ending thing tho. A lifestyle. But it doesn’t have to be in freight train sprint mode all the time or not even most of the time. I see it now more like a revolving door. Just like nature, our seasons are always changing and life is never static. Finding that sweet spot where I’m happy where I’m at but it will always need maintenance. I may have somewhat “arrived” by now tho as I’ve been getting random compliments on how “clean and tidy” my house is. 😅😅 They come in and seem to have this stupefied look on their faces. (They wonder how crazy cat lady’s house isn’t stinky and covered in cat hair and why I’m not always behind on everything Bcuz I have so many cats 😅😅). That’s the best compliment I think I could ever get. Lol. I think we just need to pause and rest long enough to actually enjoy and savor just how far we’ve come.

The smartest thing I did was start on the "tough stuff" when I was ready. When you are ready it's much easier. I know sometimes it becomes a necessity! I never really did the Marie Kondo. I was very determined but I was also tried to be realistic about what I could do in one time slot. I did this 2 years ago, I might be liek you now and needing to go back over some areas and get rid of more stuff (and accummulation). I don't live alone, lol.

Could you make a decluttering checklist? I use to be good at organizing but decluttering was my down fall and still is. I know Jessica at Organizing Mama has something called a decluttering caddy. I think y’all’s ideas together would be very helpful for those of us who have problems with decluttering.

I went beast mode when I originally decluttered my home. I wanted it all out NOW. A year later, the maintenance decluttering is a lot easier.

Decluttering and being minimal is an ongoing process. Because you are not ready to let everything go, even during at the course of going thru items. You have to sort thru your emotions and mindset, then go back to those areas and items and pull those things out when your ready. I still don't understand why there is an attachment to things. Why we humans form a wierd bond with stuff. I can't wrap my mind around it. Thats the biggest stumbling block for doing the decluttering, and letting it go. Its like pulling a band aid off, it hurts. Sometimes more than the wound.

I recently went to my garage to make an aisle so I can walk out to the car or the trash bins. My husband has this huge comic and toy collection. He has a website and sells it on Amazon. Mostly the money goes to buy more stuff. I discovered in his giant stacks of bins that there was one toy. I asked him to at least go through and condense the bins. He hasn't. I finally said I am going to set the timer. I'm going to look in a box and condense things. I told him he should watch so he knows what is in the box. He did. Then he started pulling out everything. I told him to stop making a huge mess that will take hours. After 15 minutes we were able to get rid of 5 bins. The next day we did the condensing again. This time he wanted to do another 15 minutes. By Friday we had the whole garage pile down to half its size. We were able to dance ourselves out of the garage with no arguments. Thank you so much. They were ideas I learned from your programs.❤

Your first thing you've started with is the worst for me, stuff I have up for sale. I use a website to sell items & things could be listed for weeks to months before it sells so after watching this video I've decided this weekend that I'm going to go through everything I've listed for sale & anything that's been there for a long time is going to be taken out & donated between our local women's refuge, men's homeless shelter & charity shop ❤

You are totally….. personally I have tried to sell some items on Marketplace but something won’t sell no matter how long you leave them up for. I need to implement that rule of one week and then get rid of it if it doesn’t sell.
