Great video - my all striking improved incredibly as a result. Thank you!

Chris, not sure if this will get the clicks, but this is one of your best teaching videos to date, both in your drills and showing with the aid of lines and slo-mo what is should look like.

Thanks so much appreciate that, definitely a key part of the swing

Excellent. Looking forward to slicing a tennis ball shortly. It will be easy to put into the golf bag to take to the range. I have also put a water bottle inside my trail foot to knock over on purpose in the downswing to help get through the ball not spin out on the trail foot. Great video. Thanks

Brilliant video! Definitely helpful. I hope this helps me with taking up so much of the earth on iron shots and Especially with my wedges.

Great explanation of the hip shift. It has helped me tremendously.

Chris, great video, thank you! Nevertheless, two questions are left for me: referring to irons, (1) What is your weight distribution at the end of the backswing? (2) When do you start the lateral shift? Already DURING the backswing or immediately AFTER the backswing?

Thank you for explaining a crucial fundamental of the golf swing, so clearly.

Would you address fairway woods and hybrids, too? Those of us less than stellar players actually use those clubs a lot!

Great video Chris. Just one question. When getting into my lead side, should I feel like I’m pressing into my toes, balls of my feet, equal pressure throughout or heel?
@St.Smitty Жыл бұрын
My number 1 question too! I come to find that I do better with offset toe/heel pressure from my forward(L)/back leg(R), but I also kinda prefer more weight starting on my back leg (I think it's bc I was a baseball pitcher now I think about it 🤔), and then I'll let my hands complete that transfer of weight in my back swing...idk anyone personally who does it the way I do, but I just assumed it's bc I'm kinda bowlegged?? Does that have an effect on a swing? 😅🤷🏼♂️😂

5:06 Chris, I am a little confuse. Your (left)hip/belt with the alignment (long side) stick will eventually move to level or above the other side at impact? You are just saying that it is for the initial transition?
@ChrisRyanGolf Жыл бұрын
Correct, should stay lower early into the downswing but then will move level and eventually higher

Chris: I was putting a sponge golf ball on the left HEEL and trying to crush it. You seem to have it under the toes. So, the weight is going toward the toes and THEN the heel? Is that correct? THANKS.

I was planning on spending the day in gym shorts but this drill is worth putting on something with belt loops.
@ChrisRyanGolf Жыл бұрын
🤣yep need those belt loops 😁

If i bend my left knee in downswing to start is that same thing? I do flex my left knee to put pressure on left foot in downswing first to start.
