I've been slowly getting back into golf over the last eight or so weeks and driver has been the most inconsistent/difficult to conquer. However, I watched this last night before heading to the range this morning, and I hit my two longest-ever drives - 300 carry and arrow straight. Mind-blowing difference from the usual snap hooks. Thank you, Chris.

Another awesome lesson, thank you Chris. After all these years I’ve been watching you as the only coach that’s got an old fella down to single figures and on hols from NZ in the Bristol area visiting rellies and friends, I would have loved to have met you and had a lesson, alas not enough time … according to the wife! 😒 Keep up the great work. Cheers Socks

Thank you so much for describing the role of the arms in the golf swing. I’ve been doing it all wrong! I’ve used your drills and I now swing the golf club with more club head speed and accuracy. 👍

Hi Chris, this is gold (a bit like how well Australia are currently doing at the Olympics!). As it’s as simple as working out the population vs gold numbers where we are easily on top, just like this simple exercise. Love it, thank you, as I’ve just paused the video and tried it on my mini range.

Another great video!! You should do a video on keeping the lead arm straight throughout the swing. I recently discovered how that helps getting solid contact!

Chris, could you please show what the arms/hands do through and after impact like you show at 11:58 , without moving the body at all? Feeling that without body movement might help a lot of people if you can, thanks! Great video as usual.

It's the same. Just different ball position and spine position

Thanks Ed and will do
@michalgoetz13384 ай бұрын
Chris, I think it's also so hard because the body position at impact is different than the body position at set up, thus the hands can't do exactly the same move in reverse which we did on the backswing, but a slightly different motion. If it was the reverse of the same move, It would be much easier because it would be easier to practice. But since the correct movement has to be tailored to the position at impact, then we are actually rehearsing the wrong hand movement relative to the correct execution with every wrong body position in an attempt to hit the ball.

Work on visualization drills, tempo and rhythm. When you pick a target with driver, it’s usually a long way. Try to trace the path that you envision back to a intermediate target that’s a few feet away on the line of your path… Hope this helps…

Rory"s arms do nothing as well at the start of downswing, but they do not go out when they start, they stay on path. you should clarify those things and be acurate in your explanations at least
