I've seen so many gurus that put full coverage foundation then loads of concealer on top and once they blend it out they may as well used the concealer as foundation because it covers their entire face! I think so many gurus use waaaaaay too much concealer and makeup in general and these teens try to follow them and it just looks silly in person.
@LivingForTMH6 жыл бұрын
Tammy Warren nikkie tutorials uses so much I cringe watching her put all that on her face. There's no way that looks normal in person
@tammywarren61726 жыл бұрын
Beautiful Disaster Yes she uses so much foundation and then packs on the concealer! Way too much! It's known that beauty lights smooth out the face and even Wayne has shown us the big difference. So when people try to recreate these gurus looks with all that cakey makeup it looks crazy in real life! I can always tell when I see a young teen that watches KZbin beauty gurus by all the makeup and highlight they have on.

Dani Leigh meee tooo!!! I use 2 dots or it will look like a mess. Same with foundation they put on 4 times as much as I use. Like you can not possibly look good with sooo much product on your face😱 They must look so cakey irl
@zi68036 жыл бұрын
Daley Jansen it can look good for the video, but real life - hell no. I once did it because my smart ass followed a youtube tutorial. In 2 hours my face started to look gross. Everything started to settle in every possible line, around the oily T-zone the foundation started to separate and disappear, however, the rest of the face looked super cakey. Not only that, the foundation started to oxidise even more and the T-zone was a different color than the rest of my face. Also, everything started to settle into my pores. Did I mention that my smart ass was wearing this to work? And yes, it was beyond fixing. Never again.

It's very rare that I comment on your videos but today I just felt I needed to. I hope you get to read this. I have been following you for years. I am 60 years ago and have learned SO much from you! Last August, me and my daughter were contestants on the game show Beat Shazam starring Jamie Foxx. On the day of the taping we were allowed to do our hair and makeup BUT once we got to the studio the stylists needed to approve our looks. My daughter Ashley is 25 and of course did her own makeup. I was confident applying my own as well since I learned from the BEST-YOU WAYNE! Anyway, we got to the studio and when the artist saw my makeup she said WOW the only thing I'd change is your lipstick color! She asked me if anyone did my makeup and that's when I told her all about YOU. She also used RCMA Makeup No Color Powder on me to set it. Here is the link to my Beat Shazam episode. I hope you will watch it and feel PROUD that you've taught me SO much! Just sending out HUGS and MANY THANKS for making me learn to feel pretty even at 60! With love, BETH kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZ_Hdn2YbMaqjrc

Can we please push this into the recommended lists for most youtubers? So fed up of 24 year olds with beautiful skin slapping on thick foundation and thicker concealer. Then adding back contrast and highlight as they covered it all up! I wish more would try Wayne's excellent advice. Even just common sense. More youthful looking makeup, not so heavy it settles in the 1 mini line a young person has. Okay, stepping off my soapbox now.

This drives me crazy when I see it! Their face is 75% concealer at that point!

Not to mention how expensive it is for people with a normal income to wear cake face every single day. The gurus must go through at least one bottle of foundation a month.

Im a full coverage ass hoe so i put concealer in a triange and i dont feel like its alot but everyone has difderent opinions on makeup i prefer a more snatched full coverage look and yall may prefer more umm normal /wearble make-up and its not expensive there are so many affordable concealers you dont need the most expensive concealer to feel expensive and flawless so theres no need to to bash others for there makeup preferences

@naluchan886 жыл бұрын
Julia Pearson yeah, I've noticed that, in real life, unless you use a good primer underneath, the concealer highlights all the pores on the cheek (you if have them, which is most of people). And I don't think it's healthy for you skin to wear primer everyday, so I don't think the triangle technique is doable for every day use

Exactly and I think baking is so stupid. All you need is a little bit under your eyes to brighten a little. Most of the techniques the less talented gurus are using are drag hacks. And that’s fine I just wish they would get over it already. I am so tired of everybody contouring their nose and then putting up big dot of highlighter right on the end to draw the attention right back to their nose, while the rest of their face is covered in so much highlighter it looks like it’s about to drip. It’s not a good look. For the most part.

Im very new to make-up, which is sad because I'm in my 30's. But, growing up no one in my family or friends really taught me anything about make-up or brushes. Now, I watch KZbin and see all these beautiful women put on this flawless make-up and look spectacular, but none of them teach you how to actually do it. Also, even though the make-up is beautiful, I can not wear that much, it feels heavy and gross wearing it all-day-long. These tutorials, at least for me, are amazing. I have learned so much subscribing to this channel. Just this week I tried green eye shadow, and learning how to blend and the correct technique made all the difference. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Watching this channel has changed my mind about make-up how it really can enhance your natural beauty, and not trowel on your beauty. 👍🏼

I'm the same way! I feel silly and woefully unprepared. I'm also in my 30s and feel very uncomfortable and uncertain with how I makeup when I do use it. Mostly due to never really having a strong connection with other females so I never was taught how to put it on. Thank you for your honesty. I knew it wasn't possible to be the only one but I was starting to believe it.

I'm the same too! 33 here and when I was growing up I was never allowed to wear make up, shave my legs, etc etc... My mother never wore makeup herself other than maybe some lipstick so I seriously have no idea what I'm doing with makeup now. I try very hard to follow along with the tips I see on here but I find it hard still. Especially because I have really hooded lids...i have soooo much make up now just sitting there because I don't know how to properly apply it..

What the heck?! They're gonna get a rude shock when they hit their 30's & that shit doesn't fly anymore!

Concealer helps to brighten the face and also give dimension to the skin after foundation makes the face one awkward color. So concealer has more used then just to cover up age and wear and tear.

Your Awesome! Thanks for the tips. I enjoy your video's. Ok, so I am 53 my daughter is 23 and we both apply our makeup way different. So, for Mothers Day I ask my daughter to take me to Ulta and help me figure out the make up I need to be wearing. (Since I used Mary Kay but like all good things they stopped making my foundation and I was lost after 25 years. Gift certificate of $200 Ulta for my Mother's Day gift. We bought all kinds of products. Went home and she dolled me all up. Later that evening speaking with my husband I was like humm I think I need to do it different than my younger daughter. So experimenting watching your video gave me great advice I thank you for your knowledge.... Happy Holidays to you & yours!

There are some good ones... But it depends on your features and preferences... On my case i usually choose korean style of makeup since its simplier and feels and look more natural... My skin looks a bit fair and doesnt have much unwanted pimples or so but i still make sure to use products which are cheap but still not heavy to wear.. When on make up videos they used too much concealer or stuff i use less.. Just keep trying things out... Whats best is to enhance your beauty, but not turn you into another being... Goodluck with it

This is why I don't follow tutorials from youtube makeup "gurus"/influencers. They pack on the foundation concealer with a muthfukn trowel. Plus they use about five different extreme shades of foundation/concealer because they contour to go to the supermarket. On top of that they throw on powder to "bake" and while it looks immaculate on camera under the right flattering lights it looks a powdery mess of thick ash and dust in these streets.

Right it looks ridiculous irl. Sometimes all you wanna do is just conceal and cover scars or acne and that's it! That's all I do, I just cover up flare ups and reddish marks, but all that unnecessary concealing on the forehead, nose, chin, and the excessive amount under the eyes makes it look like you tried to cover the bags under your eyes, but did a shitty job of it. Your makeup doesn't look as good in the sun as in did in studio lighting, these 'gurus' can be clueless af ☕

I never leave my house without make up, haven't for, oh gosh, 35 years or more. Currently my biggest problem is trying to cover hyperpigmentation. Do you have a video on that? What do I use? How do I use it? I have tried so many products. I can not completely get rid of it. I have it on both cheeks and over the top of my lip. Microdermabrasion does not work. Skin lightening does not work. Wayne you are a genius. I know you have a solution for me. Can't wait for the next video.
