Omg. I was using a 3/10 with no temp control on light color hair. I’m pretty sure it gets hotter than 450 cus it was turning it brown. I copped a new one w/temp control. Lol.

So quick question. What’s a soft mold? Cause I’ve been used to doing a mold with mousse/foam but it looked like you just used hairspray. I’m a hairstylist too and I’m trying to get better at my pixie styles

If her hair was relaxed or natural and had the ability to be molded wet, I’d use foam wrap to mold it. A soft mold uses hair spray to control the shape and provide flexible definition. It’s not interchangeable with a traditional mold because it’s usefulness is based on texture and the end goal the stylist has in mind. Hope this helps 💕

Boy do I need you here In Orlando. What are your thoughts on cutting tight curls should it be cut wet or dry I have a so what pixie in that stage where I never get to grow it out but my stylist keeps razoring it in the back and when it’s growing just looks bad

Cutting coils/curls can be challenging; a consultation is definitely mandatory so that hair goals can be understood and the next steps to achieving them can be identified. It boils down ultimately to how you'd like to wear your curls and what an individual can realistically commit to.
