thank you for this tutorial. But whenever I use these PAL frame rates my videos do look very juddery. in Filmic Pro (legacy version) as well. Additionally I do not seem to be able to adjust the shutter speed at all in Filmic Pro

Hi, sorry to hear about your problem, maybe try out the black magic app which is free or the Protake app which is $10, the interface is very good and you will be able to change the shutter speed to fix your problem!

I do stock photography. Which frame rate works best for stock footage to sell all over the world? I don't want to limit myself to one region. Thank you

i'd generally stick to 25fps

2:30 European DVD and TV-stations speed up their movies (24fps) by 4% to get 25fps to avoid lagg. Nobody can see this. Thats why movies in US are serval minutes longer. Thats called PAL speedup. But most cameras are intellegent enought to recognize the flicker and change the shutter speed to 1/50 sec. It also works on 30fps. If you are in the US (NTSC contries) you should record at 30fps not in 24fps. Their electricity is 60Hz not 48Hz. 48Hz is the limit where you are not able anymore to see flicker in real live. Heinrich Hertz found it out. The guy who stands for Hz.

For the time being Samsung hasn't added the option of PAL in NTSC phone regions, nor NTSC option on PAL phone regions, depends on where you bought your phone. But you can use 3rd party apps like Filmic (monthly subs), mcpro24fps (One time buy, worth it) or Protake (another monthly sub, if you want the advanced settings). They have all the options. Heck they are even better than the stock Samsung camera app, as those apps removes the digital oversharpening that our big brother Sammy likes to do, that looks hideous btw, making it having a more natural look. They even come with pro tools like cebras stripes for exposure, focus peeking, and false color tools.
