This is an amazing idea, wish they would make one for the steel bodies. Tech at Banks said it wasn't in their future. The S&B and Pure Diesel unit is similar, but I like that the Banks puts the sensor 90° to exhaust flow. The ATS is close, but it's purple!

Per the Banks install the 3 bolt Banks provided mount the space to the manifold, you reuse the bolt removed from the original sensor back into the space assembly FYI

Honestly asking, I’ve always just taken these out every 30k and sprayed with electric safe cleaner. Same cleaner for mass air flow sensor.

So the other guys fell through (too long to have in stock) so i got the Banks. The install instructions say to disconnect BOTH batteries before installing. I've always heard to never disconnect both at same time. You don't discuss batteries in this video. What did you do?

I saw this on their website when I ordered their exhaust. intake/air cleaner and diff cover. Does this work with the pusher intake? Ill pick it up if it does. All these people emissions killing my rig.

It takes the MAP sensor out of the manifold preventing it from clogging which could lead to inaccurate AFR readings.

A contaminated sensor can cause inaccurate readings, adversely affecting fuel economy and power output. The small billet aluminum device relocates the sensor out of the soot-filled exhaust stream.

2 weeks ago I installed the banks MAP relocation part on my 2020 F350 that has 24,000 miles on it. I used carb cleaner to remove the soot, which it easily desolved. Was that an error to use carb cleaner rather than scraping the soot?

I'm curious what would make my truck on a hot day, cold start, idle slower than the starter spins, causing the starter to spin during a remote start? Truck was running but the starter kept spinning. I notice the starting idle is a bit low on cold start. Or, is this just normal for a 2019 F-450?

Sounds like the starter isn't dis-engaging properly. Might be time for a new one? The starter drive bendix is getting weak or not working correctly. The Bendix is what pushes the gear out to engage the 'flywheel' teeth, before the starter motor itself spins the gear, ring gear and starts vehicle. Take to a starter\alternator rebuild shop and they can fix it much cheaper than buying a new one. You can have it 'bench tested' to see if Bendix is retracting the gear, but might not work the same as it does installed on the truck. 👍🏻👌🏻🛠️🔧🔩 ✊🏻🇺🇸🦅

@@tdotw77 It wasn't that, I know when the bendix is sticking, in this case was the starter wasn't turning off. It was as if the PCM didn't know the engine was running and kept trying to start it. It only did this during a remote start though, otherwise it starts normally.

@@tdotw77 Yeah, I was walking towards it when I hit the remote start, I heard it start and running while the starter twice continued starting it. Weird man, just., weird. I rarely am near it when I remote start, so I have no clue if it was a one off or not. Otherwise it starts right up with the PBS.

O rings are usually nitrile rubber. Not damaged by oil or grease. Different material than what belts and radiator hoses are made of.

I use silicone grease on them. Most oils won't affect o-rings, but some can. WD-40 will cause them to get soft and expand. I've rebuilt many a roofing gun because guys used WD-40 to keep the feed piston area lubed and cleaner. Roofing tar is another thing it will dissolve.

The Allen key bolt you used to fasten the map sensor to the spacer is supposed to go in the empty bolt hole your finger is pointing directly at in the end of your video. 🤷
