This man is trying to help us and all I read is criticism. If you do not like his advice, I have a solution for you. Simply do not watch his videos. As for me, I like and definitely considers his advice. There’s enough negativity in the world right now, keep it positive when someone is trying to help you out. I am not at all interested in reading your negative comments. I’m sorry if I sound abrupt, but I simply don’t understand people continuing to watch videos if they do not like the content. So true... im by no means a model... but i’ve worked as one enough to know for makeup to show up on camera there needs to be a LOT of it! The camera has a way of washing things out... so makeup for camera or stage looks CRAZY IRL! 😂 lol ... Natural makeup that looks beautiful IRL looks like basically nothing/no makeup on camera/in photos... that’s as it should be... especially for daytime... the only time more glam really looks good in-person OR on-film, is at night... because there is less light & we actually need more darkness & definition to bring out our features, & highlight pops with a flash. But for daytime, do what you want! Im all for creative freedom! I love something fun like a neon graphic liner - there are no real rules but... there is objectively bad makeup when it just misses the mark of what it was obviously trying to do. Cake never looks good. Stripes never look good. And generally, darker smokey doesn’t look good during the brighter daylight. I just think less really is more, & natural/no-makeup makeup, and soft matte glam (no smoke/glitter/shimmer, just soft/matte open/bare/neutral lids, at most a deepened crease & a soft smudged out liner or little wing) are best for daytime. Generally I’m just tired of trends. I prefer classics. There are a handful of classic makeup looks that are universally flattering, and they’re really all you need. Most of the trends are variations on the classics anyway, some more extreme than others. The Fox Eye trend is basically just a hybrid or mix of soft, natural glam (little wings) with an arabic inspiration (inner corner waterliner) & no-makeup makeup (subtle/natural).

Hello Wayne! 🌠 Great video! I was always wondering why people are doing the same thing like they came from the same factory. 🤔 We have different age, skin texture (if you have acne for example you really don't want to highlight that 🙄), face shapes, wrinkles and so on. My advice would be to put some moisturizer on your skin, stand in front on the window and turn your face in many angles like you are going to take a selfie ( or even do that) and check where your face is catching light, which features you like the most in your face and highlight them. 👸 People who have a hollow or bags under eyes and smile wrinkles to put highlighter on you cheek bone might not be flattering at all. Same with the forehead, if you have wrinkles there or between your eyes, so called 11s then these places are not for highlighting. 🤓 Everyone has different shapes of noses and unfortunately not many people like their nose ( we can see that from the amount of nose jobs being done...). If you think that your nose is too wide, too long, bumpy, not straight or you have acne on it, you probably don't want to highlight these issues. Its better to play with the contouring in that case and correct what you don't like. Good luck everyone and Happy Holidays from Lithuania! 💖🎉

I specifically remember when I was going through professional makeup school, every instructor I had said to stop your nose highlight short, so that you weren’t bringing the tip of your nose forward even more. I am totally with you on this...i believe strongly in "to each his (hers/their) own", and i also truly do not "get" some of the current trends. In my admittedly irrelevant opinion, the blinding tip-of-the-nose highlight is soooo distracting. It's all i see when people do it. The other makeup trend that i really REALLY don't understand is applying blush to the very tip of the nose. It reminds me of the Sneezes from the 1970s movie Puff The Magic Dragon. Across the bridge of the nose is so lovely---like a little bit sunkissed , but on the tip of the nose...it just looks...unwell. Thoughts? PS...not judging anyone who likes/uses those looks. I'm an imperfect person with opinions and preferences...and no desire to offend anyone. ❤

I personally HATE the tip of the nose highlight on everyone. It just makes me look straight at their nose and I’m really not a fan of noses LOL.

I'm surprised there were no say about how they highlight their T-zone, with the space between the eyebrows specifically, while it's usually the very space that gets oily first and actually you don't want it shiny.

When someone highlights the tip of their nose like you did (excessively) it’s so distracting to me. My brain just says - Rudolph the shiny nosed reindeer ...

I don't Highlight. The Highlights emphasises my wrinkles when i smile and my cheek skin looks very struktured. I don't know if this is the proper word but it doesnt look good

I don't have any wrinkles yet. Just wondering if there's some hydrating liquid or cream highlighter formula that could work with wrinkles
@barbdunn88863 жыл бұрын
I haven’t found any foundation or concealer that truly conceals wrinkles/crepey skin. Some just aren’t as bad as the others, even the ones formulated for older skin. I’ve found that dabbing a tiny bit of silicone-based primer on crows feet after foundation takes the edge off the enhanced wrinkle effect from foundation

Being a Makeup Artist myself, it's so refreshing to see you talk about how in real life Highlighter needs to be applied !💯✨ And how it's different for each Face shape as it can't be same places for everyone! I hate to see bloggers applying Highlighter on "generic" ares even when they have a pimple on there, Highlighter only exaggerates it instead of hiding it! I hope many more ppl find this video and figure out their face shape right!☑️

For baby hair try Twinkle razors, they have packets of them for cheap on Amazon, and KZbin has a lot of videos on how to shave your face safely- and your hair doesn't grow back thicker or darker

Thanks for this Wayne! Can’t wait to try these tips. I’ve never been a fan of highlighting, I’m just never happy with the way it looks. And being “of an age” the last thing I want is neon-lighted areas. Now, love, love love Dermatica!! My age spot/melasma/hyperpigmentation is fading fast. And the few wrinkles I had are becoming less noticeable. yippeee!!!!
