Are you hitting the ground before the golf ball? In today’s video, TJ and Riley go over the 3 top golf tips people chunk the ball in golf.
Reason 1: improper weight shift in the pelvis
Reason 2: the golf club moving “over” the plane in transition
Reason 3: standing UP through impact.
We hope this helps!

you guys represent next level understanding and learning of the golf swing. The vertical to horizontal concept marries so well with pelvis dropping and chest turning. How does this work when you get into wedges? same concept, but less pronounced? still want a nice shallow strike w wedges to control flight, right? Do you guys favor slightly flatter lie angles in irons? Seems like that goes well with the vertical to horizontral hit! Thanks!

Systems are a great way to understand how variables blend together, and can help you understand your swing at a higher level. Nothing inherently wrong with stack and tilt, but we feel it doesn’t allow for face stability or body health as much as other systems do 👍

Another great vid guys🙏. In the backswing we move from straight trail elbow to bent (flexed) in the lift, how about the downswing when we drop? Are we keeping the trail elbow bent or do we straighten as we try to come in horizontal to the hit?

Video request: how the toe of the golf club is supported through the hit, what kind of forces you have to apply. Since the sweet spot is eccentric from club shaft, it has to be supported, otherwise face goes open. Probably a reason a lot of people dont get club face closed, because this is one of only sports where the strike is not in line with the shaft.
@philwilliams1870
@philwilliams1870 6 ай бұрын
Do the pelvis drop and rib cage sway happen simultaneously? Can the club shaft get too flat in transition? Seems like not in this (THE) system as long as rotating chest through the hit.
@elitegolfschools

I feel that I can get all 3 of these things right - and it looks good on camera angles. The club is coming plenty shallow etc. However, I still manage to hit behind the ball 1-2 inches too often. I think my issues is managing my "arc depth" basically. This would be where the AoA is actually good and the low point is good, but the arc is just too low. Are there any thoughts on that?

Is TJ over exaggerating his deep side bend after impact? I am 67 and could never get to that position. Is his side bend after the strike necessary?????
@elitegolfschools
@elitegolfschools 6 ай бұрын
Truthfully, it’s much less side bend than appears. Most of that is created by maintaining the spine angle set at address, as well as some influence form the arm lines being loaded in a certain way. We see players with much more side bend than this that do fine, as well as less side bend. It’s definitely not a necessity to flush it out 👍
