I saw a video of you 13 years ago and thought "this is the most pleasant person I've ever seen, I hope they're still uploading" and you ARE! Keep up the amazing work.

"You pay storage fees on this shit." Yes. Thank you for making this video. It is so important. I have found that my emotions affect my singing ability and my physiology so much. Thanks for giving the solution to FEEL the feelings.

Been running away from this conversation with myself & God for a while just to stumble on this video with a title that doesn’t hint at the topic loll. Thanks for speaking on this! Very insightful

This is so true. I was rejected by both my parents and was raised by my grandparents. I eventually forgave them, but it took a lot longer to forgive myself and to begin to process the associated feelings.

I can totally relate to this. I absolutely agree with every word, and ever since I started returning more to my body and truly feeling my emotions, my voice has also grounded itself within my body. For the first time, I’ve started to feel that I can sing deeply from within myself. I’m attending a personal development school, where I also practice various breathing techniques and grounding into my body. It was only when I started grounding myself and truly feeling all the emotions I had been suppressing for years-emotions I thought I had forgiven but had actually just repressed-that I began to experience what you’re talking about. I still have so much to learn, but I’m grateful that there are people raising awareness about this. Thank you.

Relating and this information you're sharing is special and people can really have some food for thought. I have a recurring dream where I am trying to sing and I am unable to. The notes are always too high and i strain and strain myself to sing them but I can't. I experience the physical sensation of suffocation and helplessness, and it is very similar to how I often feel from day to day in life in general. A feeling that almost always creeps up when I attempt to sing in waking life. I feel the want and desire to sing but I have a part of me refuses to even do it. Its as if I have no energy to even attempt to sing a note everytime I grab the guitar. Its funny how after getting vocal lessons and actually making some progress, I find it harder to be happy with the results. Thank you Eric❤. The content you give us is beyond just singing technique.

Everyone has the ability to process their emotions without needing to respond with a reaction. Feel it and let it pass. Be kind to yourself
