Absolutely loved the podcast, amazing guest and information. The only thing I see missing is the necessity of working in. This is a concept introduced by paul check. Much like the role of a proper recovery after all this amazing output. We cant just put out constantly without putting back in overwise overtime we will deplete and burn out. Working in would basically be doing exercise, movements and breathing in combination which align the body mind and breath and puts more energy back into the system than they use, therefore giving us a net surplus of energy. Paul check is a master of holistic health and be an amazing guest for the show! He truely is a morgen day wizard. However that recommendation takes nothing from this beautiful guest her amazing story and incredible work she’s doing! Love it ❤

I went back to 128 and felt to bloaty. but I stayed there about a year, and I slowly lost those few pounds, but I was eating well. Eating for nutrition. Especially as expensive as it is to eat well, I don't waste and cook all my own food. LOL I look good if I do say so myself. The skin is crepey, that's ok, it's inevitable and it is what keeps me going. Always aiming at increasing my muscle to stay plump! LOL I started using creatine, just 2 grams a day in the morning with my prot. shake...I can tell the difference. I feel like a stay plumper or muscles stay full. I don't squat or bench but I do everything else. Just started doing L hangs...with pullups! I didn't know I could. It's easier to do a pullup that way than feet hanging below you? L hangs work biceps, back, abs, and quads! bro! I'll be 69 Sept16 I'm stoked!

Um, you're grossly misinformed. There is a correlation between grip strength and overall health, however causation has yet to be proven. Also, unless they do strength training routinely people tend to lose strength as they get older. After middle age, adults lose 3% of their muscle mass each year on average. Strength training in general, however, HAS been proven to significantly improve one's overall health, and if someone is strength training consistently they will retain their muscle mass and/or overall strength as they age, or maybe even improve it.

I’ve been saying for a looong time, the biggest error we’ve got in this country is we’ve made an error with how we do exercise in the uk. At school, we should take the same amount of care with getting young people and children moving as we do with adults. That is, fun first, and not taking grossly unfit individuals and expecting the same level of performance as fit individuals. This constant reinforced message of exercise being painful, requiring skill, and failure adds up to evading it as soon as possible. I was one of those kids until at 14 I started lifting weights. I still couldn’t run or do many other things, but I could lift, and that then led to cycling and walking. In adult life the second issue we have is fun exercise has been priced out by privatisation and profit. Gone are 25p (1980s prices) swims when you want in the minical pools. Weights gyms where you can exercise indoors when the weather is bad. Running is cheapest but not for everyone. Then of course there’s the price of healthy non-ultra processed food. My wonder is if the government were to invest in lowering food costs on quality raw ingredients, better childhood steps to getting kids active, and lowering the price of exercise so that it’s not accessible to only those with the money, if the NHS issues would drop. Food quality and exercise and the social aspect of exercise I think would be the biggest change for mental and physical health. 54… had a heart defect since birth, but hav exercised almost all my life daily. Apart from injuries, fitter than most with walking, cycling, strength work, and just started bouldering now with my adult sons.

Excercise with out quality rest, relaxation, food choices( especialy any form of grain, sugar.processed fat and seed oils) , trauna, grief, addiction alcohol dependancy etc and telling the public to get active is really a fart in the wind and self justification as most average person who are sederdentry may be able to change there routines for a while but inevitably fall back into what they find comfortable and are heavily influcened by there associations work type, freinds, partners activitys etc/ for me it been amazing

To be fair most people do not understand. Uneducated and ignorant especially those who go to the gym but don’t look like they go to a gym😂 I’m not belittling anyone but stepping foot in a gym goes not give you a healthy body it is usually just an ego boost/social gathering for most.

Go out there and talk to people. Almost no one understands that lack of muscle is killing most people later in life.

Amazing! (1) Where can we find the study(ies) referenced in the video? (2) To what extent does this apply to women, given our hormonal challenges during perimenopause/menopause? To what extent can a 70 year old woman who does mobility & weight training have similar muscle-fat ratio vs a 40 y.o. woman?

Body voltage ⚡ = responsible for cellular regeneration. Exercise is the biggest voltage gainer. Oxygen = voltage. Muscle friction = voltage and heart pumping makes the blood clean and conducive. As long as those 3 are happening you're gaining electrons/chi. Break your exercise up in the exact length of exertion and pause in between that's comfortable for you. I do 1 minute run 1 minute pause but you can do anything at any length. As long as you're breathing/heart pumping/muscles moving youll be amaaaaazed at how good your results are. The killer is doing nothing or thinking u need to do too much. Your body doesn't care guys. Enjoy

Something wrong here ı am 45 and working out since 19 still see growth every other month/year with all body parts and it is not minor changes my legs, back and abs my upper pec look totally different now. I try not to work certain parts (arms, traps)since it looks too big if ı do. I look in pictures and wonder if ı should workout less since ı just look too big for my taste but ı just like working out. note: lift 2-3 times a week all natural

It's possible to build muscle after 40. Eat whole foods (especially good quality protein), lift weights and sleep well. I'm telling you, your body will transform before your very eyes.

As an MRI technologist; that leg image is super cherry picked from super lean people. A MRI of Eddie Hall or Brian shaw would look more like the middle then the top and bottom.

A person can map their muscle growth over some time; the best time to start using resistance training and trying to preserve as much muscle as possible would be 27; the minimum and maximum time for you to start building muscle would be 35, that seven-year period of time is where you'll be in the most capable way of building muscle so that by the time you get to 49 you would have gained enough muscle for those 14 odd years compared to if you have started at the age of 54 however you can build muscle at any time but to optimize would be to begin at 27. Also, there is one thing that's missing from the entire muscle building muscle-building program, and that will be an increase in bone density; for instance, a person who's been lifting weights from the age of 35 for 21 years may well be lean and not carrying much body fat but according to the BMI would be considered as overweight this weight increase could well be not just muscle but bone mass scientists need to think about bone mass
