I somehow defaulted to KZbin education, then realized it was wayyyy too late, lol. So I pivoted to doing what I love instead, and started an outdoors channel. I just go camp and hang out… I’ll eventually find my audience who appreciates what I do and the experience I bring to them.

Pay attention to what Sunny is saying here. The more you give away in "authenticating yourself" - AKA proving yourself to an impossible to please audience - keep a mind to keep the how you are doing what you are doing guarded, then include that in your members area if you ever want to make a dime... AKA stop chasing the literal pennies and possibly never making $100 on Ytube. A Patreon channel can dwarf what Ytube pays if you nurture it, and that's how you'll get past/through the psychology of giving it all away and feeling exposed, low self-worth as most KZbinrs wind up.

I'm almost at the level you mentionded as a limit to fulltime ad income but I'm very aware that I could do a lot more to have a more predictable income. I have been on KZbin for about 8 years and my channel grew a lot before the number of new channels was growing daily so that is an advantage. I have some other income around my niche. But this video made me decide to put more effort to my email list again. I have a few thousand people on my list but if I had a freebie here on YT and not only in my blog, linktree etc, it would grow faster.

Hi there! Happy to provide some feedback: Your email list is important for several reasons: 1. It is the only thing you OWN...you can download it and take it with you to any program/platform whereas any social media platform can close your account at any time, and you would no longer be able to reach your audience! 2. You share all kinds of different of content with your audience through your email list. 3. The industry standard is that 30% of your company's revenue comes from your email list, so it's a very important piece of your business that should absolutely be nurtured.

@@SunnyLenarduzzi The hand; it’s a gesture pushing the other person away, or telling them to stop talking, which I completely understand now in the context of the video, but without having the understanding of your (essential) message, it felt like a sign to not click, which of course I’m sure is not the intention. Also, the ratio of hand size to face makes the hand the dominant aspect. Probably over-analysing and hope the video performs, with a good CTR.

Great video! But, for channels that are more "entertainment" the real way to make money seems to be through sponsorships that pay hundreds if not thousands per video. Not every aspiring KZbinr has a professional expertise they want to or can monetize readily.

They take time to film, edit, etc. When you have a young family, even finishing an online course about creating a course is a struggle. I burn my energy through the day making these videos, By the time evening comes I am knackered. So listening to your angles and how not to rely on YT and how important it is to create a course or courses was almost like reenforcing what I already came to realise. I might need to take a month or two off the platform to focus on the making of this course, do it once and do it well... And hopefully it will be the foundation for a more stable and predictable revenue stream...

Sunny just dealt with a mild critique, which is usually where KZbinrs lose their minds in defensiveness, and moved quickly past to the positive and moved the conversation to a moving forward positively place that allows the audience to connect... where the reply then led to an open door to build rapport, identify a struggle and lead to a possible connection where Sunny's business directly connects to this person's problem/struggle. And that is where the KZbinr mindset misses out on the opportunity that KZbin offers, which coincidentally is what Sunny's real business is all about. Those who see it don't just keep churning without purpose. Those who see the 2 to 4 year problem with the churn see the inevitability of putting too many hundreds/thousands of hours in content creation for literal YTube pennies.... leading us to create purposeful content for lead generation to course sales/subscriptions/ebook/digital content so we can finally get paid. Why not start there? Sunny is simply trying to help us/you avoid those wasted hours and inevitable self-doubt, loss of self-esteem, giving away our value, etc. While we ourselves are in a unique niche that doesn't reach the masses and took time to build after decades of false-starts... we couldn't jump start by hiring Sunny but I'll sure as heck point out how insanely helpful these videos have been and have her back to encourage anyone to kick start their business with her.

For monetize youtube there's a rooles. You should have certain amount of subscribers and video' views to be Eligible for monetizing. Why are you don't want to reveal that now? We can check out the KZbin monetizing rules...

You're absolutely right! To monetize directly through KZbin, you need at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months, or 10 million views on Shorts within 90 days, as per KZbin's Partner Program rules. However, even before reaching these milestones, creators can earn money off-platform by promoting services, products, or courses and using KZbin as a funnel for their audience. Both approaches work well depending on your goals. Thanks for pointing that out!

I have watched you and followed you for a while (like 3 years 😳) and believe all you say. Still I am on the sidelines...I receive your emails (am on that email list) but never read them 🥴, and I watch the odd video here and there, hoping to get myself in a spot to kick my own ass in order to create something that actually works. Single mom of 4 really doesn't help...and I love my kids and am devoted to raising them into functional human beings, but finding time to create decent videos and figure out KZbin and how to make stuff into a business is overwhelming and daunting. I am not really a master in my niche...self taught and still learning all the time, so I don't see how I could make that into an online course of some sort. My brain is just tired I guess 😮‍💨☺
