I have had my channel on a sort of effective hiatus. But I miss it. KZbin hits so much of the things I find in my other interests that it is like creative crack. Writing. Storytelling. It's very difficult to draw a conclusion like the one he mentions at 3:30 about what works best regarding the relationship between a thumbnail/title... The example he used was buying land vs. buying a foreclosed house. The search volume of buying land is exponentially more than buying a foreclosed property. What that tells me is the overall demand is much much lower for the foreclosed topic, hence you can expect the overall traffic to be lower as well. All of that to say, I'm not a KZbin video expert...

I'm so tired of reading "My best title advice yet..." and then next week it's "My best title advice ever!". Clever clickbait is good. That being said, my titles have been pretty boring. I resonate with your tentativeness around using fear in titles. I know it makes people click. But all else equal, I want a world with LESS fear in it. Fear jacks up our nervous system, and causes us to think more narrowly. It does seem questionable to me to create fear where it need not exist. (This all depending of course on the topic of the piece of content. An article about seatbelts might be a great time to use fear in a title)

Because I did not know Photoshop I stayed off KZbin for a long time because I could not create a thumbnail. If you think about it a platform dedicated to video communication should not be reliant on a presentation cover... That's why it's important for everyone to get on KZbin now because within the next 2 years KZbin will create the thumbnail based on analytics and the Creator's preferences and AI will go through the entire video and create the most effective title also... Therefore the barrier of creating a thumbnail and the title will be gone.

I enjoyed the podcast but I can't hang with "don't be original". Someone needs to be original to create the title structures for less creative people to copy off of. I have a channel with over half a million subscribers and I have only copied titles for maybe 3 videos. Yet I've seen my original titles copied a fair amount. It's important for people to take a risk with new title formats or KZbin just becomes a big recycling bin. I don't think it's helpful to encourage people to not be creative. Be brave and be original.

Sure u will just choose a great scene or cut and describe it like ... He want to kill me .... That man tried to .... No one beat him .... I found a treasure ...you just trigger audience wants with a curious way
