Ive been watching YoutTube videos for 20+ years and have read as many golf books as I could afford and “no one” and I mean “no one” has ever explained when you come out of your tilt. Thank you for a clear concept that I can now practice in my living room. 😊 You’re the best! Thanks again for an informative lesson.

This lesson helped me to understand how I had injured my neck so severely several weeks back. I actually gave myself whiplash when I was practicing keeping my head down during the entire swing. The injury was extraordinarily painful and took 3 weeks to heal sufficiently to play again. Concentrating on steady alignment until 4 o'clock is a game-changer (and life-saver)!

Really helpful as usual Aimee. I was staying down after 4 O'clock and unable to swing through naturally. That has really helped.

Aimee, you are excellent! I've been playing for 40 years. I've gone through the many ups and downs of golf. You are very clear and optimistic with your approach! I'll be watching regularly for reminders and tune ups. Thanks !!

Great video Aimee, no other instructor has described exactly how long you stay in posture before extending upwards, the 4'oclock position. This makes total sense.

I wish had this kind of instruction 20+ years ago. The heartache and despair it would have saved is priceless. Yet, I am not naive, the fix looks simple enough, but actually fixing it will take some time and commitment. Thanks again!
@topman67273 жыл бұрын
Better idea is to stay down looking at the ball and let the right shoulder come through and bring your head up. If you dont feel it hitting of your head for each shot then you came out of posture early !

If I would have known about this concept while growing up, I would have had a much better HS and collegiate career and my Dad would have been a much happier person! The swing trend in the early 80's (ala Seve Ballesteros and Tom Watson, et al) has really evolved as people start to get a better understanding of the golf swing and the importance of using your entire body to release the club properly. I think this video captures that concept perfectly!

Very good lesson Aimee. This inability or lack of knowledge in maintaining your spine angle until the 4 o’clock position is what destroys most higher handicap golfer’s swings. It certainly did to mine until I got my playing buddies to video me and then watched it in slow mo. Loss of posture due to over swing going back became immediately apparent!

I have been watching your videos and your lessons on teeing off are amazing. I have been trying to put them in to practice and today my tee shots have been sublime. Straight down the fairway. I have a handicap of 36, but on our 11th hole there is a lot of heather and I got a birdie. So many thanks for your guidance.

Hi Aimee. David Duval has what I call a third eye. However as for the rest of us to prevent early extensions we all must improve our hands and eye coordination at the impact zone. How? Simply look for the 4 inch blur past the ball and then allow the momentum of the club head turning left to rotate your head upward to the finish of your swing. Your drills are good; but eye/hand coordination is the most important element in anyone’s swing. Don’t you agree?
