Hey Daryl thanks for the video! Always great! I bought 16 of these from Both Lighting. I purchased 10 and then bought 6 more. One of the 6 I purchase the battery % would only charge to 48%. I contacted them and they would not replace the light. Not only that, they made me tear it apart and try and fix it. Long story short and after several attempts to repair (didn't work). They still would not replace the fixture! I finally gave up. It's really unfortunate because I really like these uplights. Because of the hassle I'm not sure I will buy more of them. Good product as long as you don't have a problem!

@dominiccaminiti4946 Try contacting @DJRickWeb because even though you bought the light direct from China, Rick owns Both Lighting USA which is affiliated and he will sometimes help in situations like this.

I agree. With uplighting, more is more. With ape labs, it's huge investment to get a decent number of uplights, with Both IR4, it's a moderate investment

@@DJDarylBennett totally. I couldn’t justify it but have needed some for years to replace old ones. Options were limited. Can’t say enough good about the ir4. Small. Powerful. Quiet. Cheap.

Daryl, great video as always! How is the auto sound settings? Do you think the auto sync to music is as good or almost as good as Ape Labs on using the S6 app? Also, for starting DJs would you say IR4 or S6? Thanks.

Ape labs is better, especially because musikmode can be coordinated across multiple fixtures. Both lighting can only connect to one light and you can master/slave everything else, which can't do chases or coordination across fixtures of different types. I like the small profile of the ir4 personally. Although these are brighter and can do candlelight better

I wish they put the display and dmx signal led on the other side so you arent seeing a flashing led from the other side of the room.

True, I've put gaffers tape over the led because they're so bright

@@EliteEventAZ You can unscrew the tops and rotate them how you want. You will need an Allen wrench

@@guayo42 Yeah but then the kickstand doesnt face the right direction and unfortuatetly that cant easily be flipped around.

Rockvilles are made by Both lighting too. You probably have the RF versions which Both made before the IR versions.

Would we be able to sync up the S6 and the BO-IR4 Minis in the same light show? Or is that separate to each unit?

Same dmx profile, so ypu only need to program it once

Hello Thanks for the video. I owned the minis. I was considering to buy the s6 but I would like to use them to wash the dancefloor with. You see what I would like to do? So basically, I would put then in front of my dj booth to wash directly the dancefllor. Do you know which angle we can reach with the adjustable stand? Do you think it is a good idea? A wireless DMX transmitter. Donner, vango, chinly, they should all do just fine!
