Stop Losing To Snipers In Fortnite Chapter 5 (Zero Build Tips & Tricks)

Snipers always one shot to the head and were always good at mid range as well before Chapter 5 and even in Chapter 1. It just took ACTUAL mastery. There were players like Comikazie doing insane things with it. Now that they changed the sniper physics, pretty much every of us is like him now. Also they should make snipers really scarce and remove the green rarity (I don't get it, they repeated the same mistake as Chapter 2)

No joke….. Wednesday night we played trios for 10hrs…. And I got single shot sniped with full health and shields at least 15times. It was getting sooooooo annoying. Picked off behind rocks and peeking over roof edge. Never even saw their face and I knew exactly where they were.

In past seasons I never used snipers instead going for DMRs but this season I have been using snipers more and it has helped the game feel fresher for me.

EVERYONE has a sniper rifle at the end of the game. At this point, there is no avoiding it.

Snipers seem to be getting more annoying recently. It can be pretty frustrating end game where most of the players are snipers waiting behind a rock on edge of zone. Basically the first player to move without mobility gets taken out. Snipers should never be one hit kill for a player with full health and shield imo. Also, they should make them rarer so they don't dominate so much. I hardly ever use one personally.

i like the snipers it feels super satisfying to use them even if you just get a body shot. However they're too versatile rn. It's better than the ARs in a lot of situations. They should make it handle worse so it encourages being at range and setting up. Or having mods that encourage being faraway. If you're more than 100m away you'll do extra body damage or whatever.

The problem is they ruined the ARs by making them have bullet drop and velocity instead of hitscan weapons. Going back to hitscan ARs would fix the sniper issue

They need to make snipers 1 round per mag again, right now there's no punishment to missing your first sniper shpt and you can take another one right after without reloading.

I've been practicing with fortnite snipers since the OG days. This one is much better than they have been before but, personally, I'm eating so i don't want them to take them away. Even if they nerf them, I'm still gonna be sniping haha

The one hit sniper with the slower movement system in Zero Build is just too OP especially since this map has so many sight lines! With the bullet drop with assault rifles in the new chapter Fortnite feels like PUBG and Warzone mixed with Fortnite!

I think that they should tie sniper glint to the sniper itself, not the 4x scope. Optional sniper glint is not it.

@@TJmcminecraftfacts. The other sight optics have mid reticles. If the 2x scope had just a dot as the reticle, I WOULD main that. Ik reticle optic options would be WEIRD for a BR game, but Meh. I also wish we got the Dragon’s breath sniper as a mythic again. A customizable Dragon’s Breath would go SO hard

Snipers are almost perfect. Snipers should absolutely be fantastic at a longer range and should always reward precision with head shots. I think the one thing they should change is the ability to quick scope. You shouldn't be able to consistently use a sniper to hit shots at close range. I'm not 100% sure how they should make that more difficult, but they should. Basically, I think they are a little too good at mid/close range, which could be changed by simply turning down the ADS speed. Other than that I hope they keep snipers viable and fun just like they are now.

Snipers should not 1shot kill in zero build. In build if you see glare you Maybe can put a Wall. I'm always 1shot snipped while I'm using them (I'm not a sniper) It's every time 116 body damage..

I rly hate the sniper meta, eventhough im good at it but in duos you can so easily just delete people and they have 0 time to react or do anything, hitting someone with ar is much harder than with a sniper and its less rewarding so i always run sniper and i hate to have it

My take...this is a good change for snipers. Before for a normal 100 - 150 meter shot (somewhat common long shot range from high ground) you had to aim like 3 seconds into the future where their head was going to be with the EXACT drop off taken into account and assuming you calculated their position if the drop off was off by a tiny bit it's either a miss or a body shot. And vice versa you could have the drop off perfect but the prediction on their movement was wrong. The buff makes it easier but it's still insanely hard to land a headshot on an ACTUAL target and not people playing like bots (aka running in a straight line). Pretty much all my headshots on snipers this season is because they did the opposite of what is talked about in the video and they MOVE but it's predictable and has a pattern to it or something. I myself have not been one shot by a sniper yet and any shot I've taken has always been body shots. I'd say if they change anything make snipers (and maybe other weapon types) have more unique attachments and remove the magazine size attachment from snipers so they consistently have 3 shots so you can count the shots and know when to dash for more cover. That would at least give them a predictable downtime when someone is sniping at you.

Idk man the fact snipers are constantly in game but I haven’t seen shield bubbles and whatnot forever I could get over a lot in zb if we had a more of a movepool for coverage options even tho I win way too many games quick scoping I just feel if bubbles were in the loot pool way too many end games would be scar/smg and a shotty with mobility opposed to quick scoping headshots

I honestly like the snipers and the sniper like stated in a previous video it allows for you to not carry an AR and swap out for an smg and also if you hit your shots it allows you to engage with your opponents knowing you probably have a health advantage.

I absolutely hate the sniper meta in this game because there is absolutely nothing that you can do to prevent them from one shotting you. Every time I see anybody in my game they just jump out of their car and instantly one tap me. There is no possible way I can counter these guys...

I am new to the game. That said - I'd love to see a video on "push defense".... Snipers are crazy powerful. Even if you play everything right, there's a good chance you'll get tagged with a costly body shot, then immediately pushed. I'd greatly appreciate any input on strategy in those situations.

I don't get why people are bothered by snipers. If you move alot, be unpredictable, slide, jump etc... If you reposition after each shot or two when going sniper vs sniper You will rarely get sniped, it will happen ofc but it will happen from time to time, someone just did an amazing shot so gratz to them. Its fun to actually practice your sniper aim this season because of so much sniping. I like it.

It's not the snipers that bothers me it's the lack of a counter this season. The ARs used to all be hitscan so you could at least tap fire them at a distance and put pressure on them, now with bullet drops and bullet velocity on ARs you feel handicapped if you don't use a sniper yourself.

None of what you mentioned matters. What matters is that they can instantly delete you from complete safety. That isn't fun. That isn't balanced. That isn't good. All weapons need to have the risk of getting you dropped while using them. Snipers are max reward, 0 risk.

I’ll agree with one contingency…. And that’s to use it, you must remain still and focus aim for at least 5 seconds before firing. None of this no scope head shot bs, or “quick zoom” and fire crap. That’s what gets me. Snipers DO NOT work that way. I’ve seen sooooo many people getting tagged while on the run. If we’re keeping it “real world” than only 2% of the people using snipers should be able to shoot like that with one. Not everyone that picks one up should be able to be “that lethal” with one.

Snipers should exist in game but there are a few things they should do to balance it and stop every end game (in solos at least) being the same repetitive thing and forcing us all into the same meta (previous seasons had metas but you could still win in different ways, that’s much less likely this season) 1) no more than 1 shot in the mag 2) increase rarity of spawn rate (2 in every vault is insane) 3) make ammo rarer 4) add glint to every sniper scope (idc if some weirdo wants a 4x on an AR, that doesn’t need glint, snipes do)
