I was on the city bus on friday, my plans fell through. I got to El Centro and thought the bus was heading back north. It went to Calexico. Calexico was a different place. Brighter, cleaner and full of daycares and schools.. One bus stop the bus filled up. Everyone talked to easlch other One lady in front of me saw someone in.the back shenjumped up and went to the back to talk the that person. Everyone was happy and then we turned back toward Elcentro. The closer we got, the quieter it got. People brought out the phones and crawled back into themselves. It was like everyone died. If I would have gotten off the bus in Calexico, I wouldn't have cared about plans. I would have stepped across and never looked back. But I couldn't leave my dog. She is all I need to bring. I jave my Social Security and I have sold my art on the street for years. I just need to get away from this discrimination and this hate. America is no place to have a life. l

Jose, everything you have said is true, but you've omitted a few key points. We've had a beach house in Rosarito for 5 years, where we spend half of our time. Why not full time? Because many Americans, for good or bad, are generally restless; like terriers, we just cant let it go. After weeks of endless, low-zero stress perfect weather, it truly is paradise prison. So, we jump in the car, cross the world's busiest border crossing, and what do we see? Homeless encampments on freeway underpasses and fast food joints! Murica! Gotta love it - lol. Anyway, just a day or two of this and we come running back. Ibtell all the locals its better down here. Thing is, the world has also figured it out, so the development, construction and traffic is getting worse. That's the downside of becoming the new darling. Everyone wants a piece of the action.

I think that people should NOT over analyze WHERE they are going to move to but WHY they are moving That is the important thing As someone who left the US in 2018, I left because of the toxic place the US has become, it resembles an insane assylum full of lunatics NOT having to be in that environment or even watching what is going on is entertaining but I really don't care what happens ! I turn it all OFF ! I can unplug myself from that toxic life and create a new one outside of the US, more to my liking. I am over it and much prefer life overseas GET OUT NOW while you can, it's just going to get worse over time, and DON'T LOOK BACK ! SO MANY very nice places in this world to live and thrive I like the quote by Andrew or Nomad Capitalist - He says go where you are treated the best !

The USA system such as getting a job and other things is a long process. 1. you have to fill out and application and have SSN. 2. you need to have an interview and dress to impress and if you are homeless and dirty they won't even let you shop or apply to a job. 3. Renting an studio apartment is expensive and you need a lot of requirements such as proof of income, and criminal history and eviction history. If you are a felon or have been evicted before, the next landord will not rent you an apartment or house. 4. Buying a used car from the 90's not only do you need to put it under your name but also have an inspection to receive license plates and sticker and insurance. 5. Distances from work to home or other shopping places are also tedious which makes it easier to have a car accident. 6. With everything I mentioned I think the USA in my opinion is just a Corporation.

I hear you Jose! This morning I read a news article about a guy who shot at his neighbors because they were Hispanic, this was in Nebraska. According to the article, on several occasions he told his neighbors to go back where they came from and to speak English. After shooting at his neighbors he shot himself. The hatred for the illegal immigrants is beginning to spill over toward Hispanic Americans. Its incidents like these that convince me to stay in Mexico and if I did move back to the US it would be back to McAllen, right across the border.

I'm literally at the airport in Miami right now but....... The delayed my flight twice and then I wasn't able to check in online early. It gave me an error and then when I tried to check in at the calendar they said that I couldn't check in because I was too late. Then they said that I couldn't get a flight until tomorrow morning at 6:45 a.m. and currently it is 5:00 p.m. and they wouldn't reimburse me even though they screwed up. They made me pay another $170 for another flight. So all of these things will happen when you try to leave the United States. It will literally fight to keep you here. I had already planned to leave and never come back but it's making things even harder and like you were Jose I'm currently broke off my ass so any little hiccup is devastating for me. But I'm OUT! Done!

No one or country is doing anything to you. No one or country knows you exist and wouldn't care. Delays happen at airports and in my vast experience around the world it's usually in Mexico. Take off your foil hat and take responsibility, Biden didn't make you poor, you did.
@geoffspeedАй бұрын
Kristofer.....Very poor planning when your troubles begin at the airport !
@JoseArteagaTravelsАй бұрын
@@geoffspeed I've had similar issues like this before. Mexico City Airport is pure pain and horrible. One thing I have realized about traveling is that most Airports are really really bad and treat people like cattle and do not care if they steal from you. They look at it more as it's a privilege we even allow you to fly and travel you should be grateful no matter how bad it is. The worse part of traveling is usually always the airport, no matter what country you are in. At least that has been my own experience.

@471CDAАй бұрын
Medical treatment is excellent in Mexico if you pay out of pocket. One third or less of the prices in the U.S. They don't have all the layers of expenses like the U.S system does. It's you and the doctor / surgeon. I do all my check ups in Guadalajara and Ajijic area. My wife has had 3 small surgeries in Mexico. We haven't paid even 10k dollars total for all 3. The doctors are well trained and spend the appropriate amount of time with you. Not 2-3 minutes like the U.S. They get to the root of the problem and treat it. Very different and effective, unlike the U.S where all they do is give you pills and send you home. I'll take Mexican healthcare anytime over the system in the U.S.

It is so upsetting to hear nowdays the ways of living in the USA and becoming harder year by year also to hear more often that the remedy is actually mexico .....and that is definitely true ...good economy , affordable, beautiful magic towns , colonial cities , beautiful beaches , good food , nice people etc etc and basically for any US citizen is just a matter of purchase a flying ticket choose the city , enjoy life , and you all set .....on the other hand for mexicans to do the same heading north its just an impossible task you need to be saint , and provide millions of documents , getting a harsh treatment in federal offices wait from one to 5 years and sometimes longer to be approved if your lucky .....just wondering what might be the problem and if it is just and fair for the mexican government to start up with visa process. and select who qualified and who dont some reasons might that not only US citizens are choosing mexico for living and turism there are citizens from Canada , europe , asia , south america etc etc ...mexico has pretty light regulations to enter the country and really dont know if it is the right way to do it now ..however ..I do believed that mexico is working hard to provide good quality of life for everyone in the country with better economy now and something very unique have in our culture THE MEXICAN HUMANISM the US citizens always have been welcomed in the country ..but.. for unknown reasons it is not happening up north ..jus about time to understand that the US and mexico need each other and look one and other as good neibors ...bye
