I did the same thing putting the Bluetooth adapter about 3 feet from the MLM2PRO. It definitely helps with connection issues. I still seem to find that I too have to pop it up a bit to get it to read short shots. So I'm getting more 60 degree practice. Thanks for the video!

Nice! What’s your connection at (RSSI)? I think getting it as low as possible really helps. And as someone else mentioned, I should have tested more bump and runs because lower shots seem to be affected the most. It sucks to have to play your highest lofted wedge on every chip but it seems like rapsodo is trying to fix things, they’ve said. Thanks for checking out the vid!

Couple bump and runs towards the end there, but they are still relatively "high". Been my observation that chipping works fine if the ball gets pitched into the air. Bump and runs are far more likely to no read. Would live to see some more bump and runs / lower chips. Thanks for the vid!
@UnrealGolfSandro2 ай бұрын
@@DerekBraid I realized when watching it back that those weren’t very low. Thank you for the feedback. Maybe a 9/8i bump would have been a better test. I’ll absolutely be doing some more testing. Rapsodo just gave away some hints at some big updates coming- AoA, club path and more chipping fixes so we’ll take a look at that too

Hi! Great video! Looking forward to follow your challenge. I am in considering upgrading from R10 to MLM2Pro, I am a high handicapper that wants to improve. I want to play GSPro. I understand you have had both. Is the MLM2Pro worth the 300 dollars that it will cost me to upgrade? I am worried about disconnects that comes with the Rapsodo. But I hear here that it connects directly with the computer? That is great! I want to connect it direct to my computer without a phone or Ipad. Is this possible, or do I still need to use my phone/ipad?
@UnrealGolfSandro2 ай бұрын
Are you by chance the person I was chatting with on Reddit? It’s well worth the upgrade in my opinion. To me, the garmin was a really good toy. As someone who knows their game and shot shape, what I saw from the garmin just didn’t feel “real” every time. A 2 yard draw might show as a 4 yard fade and that can be frustrating when playing sim rounds or even on the range. It led me to not trust the shots much at all. The mlm2pro has been tested up against the best launch monitors and all numbers are within 1% but the spin and spin axis being the most accurate and that’s what I love about it. Not to mention impact vision is so valuable for being able to create a consistent strike. The disconnects were a huge issue in the first year of release but since I’ve had it, the mobile disconnects happen maybe once every 4 sessions and getting back online takes less than a minute. My experience with gspro and with this connection solution is that I get connected faster and don’t disconnect virtually ever. If there is a disconnect, the light goes red on the device, windows prompts me with a message, I hit the “connect” button, and in about 10 seconds it comes back online. So tbh, gspro is the best way to use it since it’s the only software that uses a Bluetooth connection and it’s so stable. You don’t need your phone/ipad expect to initially align the unit/authorize 3rd part apps. A process which takes a minute or 2 and can be done at the same time as you’re setting up gspro on the computer. I should make a video on how long it actually takes… I think that would be helpful. All in all, I would not stress about connection whatsoever, especially if you plan on running gspro. It’s a $700 unit and has minor kinks but you won’t get close to this kind of data without paying thousands otherwise. Rapsodo is releasing firmware updates monthly and that’s really important, because the hardware is already so impressive. They’ve announced club data and angle of attack will be released by Q1 2025! I know it’s a lot to read LOL but let me know if you have other questions. I’ll try to give you the honest answers.

@@UnrealGolfSandro If you don't have a computer and want to use it with your phone or ipad, it doesn't work. Mine has never worked. Try to take it to the range. It doesn't work. I shouldn't have to buy a computer and use a third party app. I reached out to Rapsodo and they sent me a troubleshooting list. That didn't work either.

@@FLdb-wj4wc connection issues are pretty prevalent, depending on how you use the device. I agree, I wish the app worked better but everyone seems to have a different experience. The connection quality should affect ALL shots. The chipping issue seems to be related to the impact camera not seeing enough of the ball in order to make a spin calculation (check the impact vision on the shots it read). That's why the mlm2pro can't read putts or if you thin the ball. There is probably a minimum launch angle and ball/club speed to get consistent reads. Pity there isnt a diagnostic mode to show you every shot including misreads.
@UnrealGolfSandro2 ай бұрын
@@philtrick123 it’s true that MOST of the chipping issues are related to the camera not seeing the ball/the capture window being too short but more often than not on no-reads I see a blue light and it never shows a shot on gspro. These ones are connection related. I’m not sure why it happens more often with chips than on full shots but those specific no-reads are what have improved with this fix. We can only hope another few updates will make it even better.

Perhaps a dumb question but how are you using GS Pro with the MLM2 Pro? Thanks!
@UnrealGolfSandro2 ай бұрын
Hey! It works through a 3rd party connector that’s been working for several months now. Direct connection with Bluetooth to pc. It solves most of the mlm2pro’s connection issues so it’s pretty much the best way you can use it these days! I highly recommend. github.com/springbok/MLM2PRO-GSPro-Connector Here’s the link to the connector. I don’t have a video on it yet but there are videos on it and it’s super easy and only adds about 30 seconds to the setup when I turn my unit on.

@@MooseandMo happy birthday (almost). I’m not sure what your budget is like but I have a video coming out soon on my build that cost a little over $3k that was the most budget way I could build a quality sim. What can I do to help with distances not reading right. Just got this and my driver is coming up 30-40 yards short distance wise. Even the 4 iron I tested is about 15 yards short
@UnrealGolfSandroАй бұрын
It’s tough to say what it is. A few things to consider: if you don’t have the practice mode or target range set to add any elevation, stock carry numbers can be shockingly low at first. When I take my unit outdoors at add elevation, I tend to hit my 175 club closer to 185. When I first got my unit, my driver carry numbers were embarrassing to admit. I always compared my numbers to the ones I hit best out on the course and assumed my driver distance was 290-300. I was carrying the ball 220-240 with the rapsodo. I messaged support who basically told me I needed to learn how to hit it better 😂 and honestly, they were right. My spin numbers were high (4000-5000), contact was poor and I wasn’t swinging quite as fast as I normally do outdoors. About 3 weeks later I started carrying the ball 260-270. It took that long to get comfortable indoors. I suggest looking at all your numbers for a few drives. Compare them to the PGA tour numbers for loft, spin, descent angle, even ball speed and smash. See if anything stands out. If so, might be something to work on. If something is wildly “off”, message support. They’re really good about answering and servicing/replacing bad units.
@Drizzle5753Ай бұрын
@@UnrealGolfSandro Not to toot my own horn or anything but I know for fact the driver distances are coming up short. I just got fit on a trackman a few months ago for my driver and even then it was about 270 carry - 290 total (Spin rate around 2100) - SINCE then I've actually gained distance lol. Last round out I hit 5 drives at the course well over 310 total. On the Rapsod it was saying like 240 carry 260 total on ones I could tell I smashed even. Just wasn't making sense. Even my 4 iron I carry 230 - Just yesterday i Parked my 4 iron on a 230 yard hole shot with my range finder. Even slightly elevated. Ball hit right around pin high on the green to carry. Rapsodo was coming up as like 210-215 carry AT BEST. I will say the Club speed seems to be accurate coming in right around the 111-113 that the trackman reported during my fitting so that's refreshing to see. I just got a stand / leveler so I'm hoping that may help getting it to the same height as the mat. Hitting it indoors in my garage should I be adjusting elevation numbers or should that not matter? Also do you think this leveling stand will help? Hope so cause it cost $70 lol
@UnrealGolfSandroАй бұрын
@@Drizzle5753 the stand will only help if its purpose is to raise the unit to the same height as your mat. If the ball is already in the yellow hitting box then it shouldn’t matter. I’m curious what your setup is like though. Is it a nice big enclosure that you have room to swing freely without worrying about missing the screen or is it something like a spornia 7 with a smaller target in a smaller room or garage? In my research and to my own experience I’ve noticed differing numbers in confined spaces or smaller setups as it seems to cause indoor swing syndrome. The fact that your club speed is spot on is a good thing but there’s gotta be something that’s off. I’d be checking your ball speed, spin rate and launch angle to see if you’re inefficient somewhere or if it’s really the unit. Can you tell me those numbers?
@Drizzle5753Ай бұрын
@@UnrealGolfSandro using the stand seemed to get the setup closer to the box. Just used it again and put shoes on and tried to swing as I was earlier today at the course where I was consistently hitting 290-300 today. Think I got it to work better. Just got a few good swings where the numbers lined up to my trackman fitting. 160 ball speed260 carry 289 total 111 club speed, spin rate was 1777 which seems pretty low compared to my fitting that was closer to 2200 range but got everything really close. Think your talk about the indoor syndrome helped me just think about swinging as if I’m outdoors.
