Stop-motion assembly: Revell's Type D race car in 1/32

Animation of Revell's plastic model kit "Auto Union Type D" with my little plastic fellow. I made some improvements by printing 3D parts with my ANYCUBIC Photon Mono X and green UV resin:
spoked wheels
radiator grill
windshield
The car model is intirely painted with alclad II alu and silver. In addition I used Molotow's liquid chrome for some emphasizing and especially for the mirrors.Spokes and some cable simulations are made with material from Albion Alloys.
Music is composed by my good friend Erick Miotke.
The kit was a gift from my modelling friend Stefan Schacht.
It was a pleasure to work with it as a base and get the chance to improve some details with additional materials. Hope you like my little experiments...

You did fine work on this classic Revell (ex-Matchbox) kit of the Auto Union Type D racer. Those scratch built upgrades and 3D Printed parts are a big improvement. But with your skills, I suspect you could have still made this classic kit shine as an out-of-the-box build! My Like is in the 5.5Ks.

With your breathtaking craftsmanship in this model you seem to have paid a beautiful tribute to the 1930s engineers and courageous drivers of the original. P.S. I was astonished to learn that Auto Union's racing cars labelled A to D were produced in Zwickau, which would later gain its notoriety / fame for Trabant cars.

Another exquisite build, you must be unique with your stop motion technique and no boring bits showing you cutting parts from the sprue. This kit is notorious for bad fit with the fuel tanks and the height of the carburetors preventing the cowling from sitting flush. I'm curious how you were able to overcome these difficulties. Kudos to you.

I am having exactly the same problems with the fuel tanks and carbs. It's a shocking model really. Good to know others have found ways to overcome them. Tom has done a brilliant job. I'm really struggling to get that rear cowling in place 🤔

I have this kit unbuilt from Matchbox. I am not a big fan of European race cars but this car REALLY floats my boat.I WISH REVELL if possible, would make this kit in 1:25 scale. Imo , it would sell like hot cakes !
