Love ya Eyebrow, but personally i don't think size is what we're paying for. I feel like Masterpiece is about design, engineering and aesthetic, not how much plastic we get. But then i also like the exo-suit Spike so what do i know? :) BTW the licence plate stores inside the spare tire which is another awesome touch.

Haha don't get me wrong, i am definitely all for Quality v Quantity, and aestheticly I love this guy, but he's got about the same articulation as a deluxe fogure with a slightly more involved transformation, and both times I've gotten a spike that is trash. personally I feel he's worth about half the Canadian retail price, maybe 2/3 the import price, and funny enough, that's what the Americans are paying anyway (or so I'm told )

Yeah, I can definitely see the scale issues with the Beetle mode. That said, it doesn't look _grossly_ out of proportion, so I'd call it passable... but that's just my take, and I can see why it would bug (hehe, _bug_ ) you.

ToyWorld's Bee is a nice alternative price-wise, and also has a car mode that matches the cartoon (if that's what you want). I have both, and would have skipped on the MP had I gotten the TW one first.

Isn't Bumblebee scaled to be in scale, but only in robot mode? All this cartoon mass shifting, at some point, you have choose whther the vehicle OR the robot will be in scale. It's not feasable to have it both. And they chose for the robot of the MP line (starting with MP-10) to be in scale. Hnce the small Jet too. At least that's my take on it.

yeah robot mode was the priority, and I get that. I was just a little bummed when I found out they were ditching vehicle scale altogether. because aside from the jets, I felt they were doing a decent job staying relatively in scale with each other

I cant really undestand the naggin on his scale...I mean you compared him with other toy lines which is wrong (comparing apples to oranges?) and then you just take only the vehicle mode into account and not the robot mode thats what the Mps scale btw. And honestly he doesnt scale badly. After all in real life we dont have mass transferance :D Great video otherwise and I agree with most of your points.

I do not know about the other robots, but at least when scaled against that Optimus Prime figure, Bumblebee is pretty much on scale with it in a robot mode. In the cartoon, Bumblebee's height was barely half of Optimus's.

Thats right mr. eyebrowreviewer make them treat bumblebee with the equality of coolness in appearance that the other autobots and decepticons are treated with.I agree with you whole heartedly. Bumblebee should be on the level of coolness that orion pax was on especially since bee has the same qualities as pax did to become a prime. Bee looks like he should become a prime too.

VW beetle was 4m long, a Porche 935 is almost 5m long. MP21 is 1:35 scale which does scale with MP10 and most deluxe cars. The issue is that most MP cars are 1:29 or 1:30 scale. Tracks is 1.325 (so in between BB and the other cars).

Shockingly, the few KO's I have are actually better than the original and usually half the price. The KO MP44 fixed issues the original had making it fun to play with compared to Takara's. Also got the KO sunstreaker and it good, couldn't really see a difference between the KO and Takara's other than the KO came coated in mineral oil (fun clean up).

It's like the Toy Story Collection, where every Toy Story toy to be released in conjunction with the 3rd movie was trying to be as movie-accurate as possible. It'd be GREAT if they made movie-accurate Pizza Planet squeaky toy aliens, but even a collection of 3 of those things would top off at maybe $5. So what do they do? Make them a thicker plastic, NOT squeak, and come in a variety of different poses. ...Yeah... Money well-spent. -_-

I mostly got this figure for Bumblebee. I could care less about Exo-suit Spike. I paid $70 for him, if that gives you an idea of where I live. This is the only Masterpiece figure I have at the moment but I do plan on getting more in the future. I absolutely love my Bumblebee and the Volkswagen Beetle he turns into, I think it's a 1972 Volkswagen Super beetle. The vehicle mode makes me want to get a 1972 Super beetle and paint it like Bumblebee. The other Masterpiece figures I want are; mp-10 Optimus Prime, mp-11 Starscream, mp-12 Sideswipe, the Datsun trio, Ironhide, Ratchet, Sunstreaker, Megatron, the Beast Wars cast, Wheeljack, and Ultra Magnus. I more cartoon accurate versions of figures like Prime, Starscream, and Bee are out but I like the more real world accurate looks simpler transformations of the older figures

Thanks for pointing out that official spike is just a garbage as the KO one. Bee is the first KO I bought and I was pretty upset with things like spike falling apart and considered getting the official anyways. What about the gun? The gun is supposed to plug under the hood in car mode. Mine simply does NOT. It just falls out all the time and frustrates me. Is that a KO thing or just an MP Bee thing?

I know the size of the cartoon always fluctuated but the way size has always been to me is, A human is up to Bees waist and Bee is about 3/4 of Primes waist, meanwhile to me, the biggest issue is the color, it's not cartoon, toy or, in most cases real life accurate.

Hi. Im a Volkwagen Beetle owner. Mine is a 1979 VW Beetle made in Mexico and it comes with a left and right mirrors. In fact all the Beetles made in Brazil and Mexico until 2003 came with 2 mirrors, so the Ko version is not wrong. (Sorry for my english, greetings fron Ecuador in South America)
