That third match against the token deck... That was pretty special. I believe +99% of the MTGA player base would've screwed up somewhere along the line and lost it. So many triggers, targets and copying possibilities. I know I would've mis-sequenced, at least. Maybe miscounted my mana or something. It was brilliant to watch him snatch this win, even with the little slip at the end that almost cost him the match. I've been watching this dude's videos for so many years now. I don't even play any iteration of MTG anymore, and don't watch any other creator... But I really like to see Kenji work, especially in matches like that one. I'm really glad you can live off your talent, Nummy, thank you for so many years of videos and I wish you all the best

1:15:41 they do if they stack the triggers correctly. flicker cloudblazer with the prince, then in the endstep stack the triggers so that charming prince is targetted by teleportation circle and cloudblazer comes back before that happens. also plays around sorcery speed removal like nicol bolas.

51:00 had you bounced the Attendand, op could've cast it before the Mentor to make the latter generate tokens. So while bouncing Druid wasn't the optimal play (in case op does not draw a creature), bouncing Attendand wouldn't have secured you the win on that turn either. Big props on handling that match though, very impressive sequencing.

Lutri, as the companion text is basically free in cube +1 card in your hand at the start of the game, plus the effect isn't bad in the right deck

@@KK-pm7ud The cost is nothing because you're in a cube and you don't have any multiples and don't have limited sideboard slots because it's limited. Having a Lutri in your sideboard is strictly better than not having one. There's no reason to ever pass the card because it improves your deck without taking up a slot in the deck and without taking up a slot in the sideboard. It's not competing to be one of the 23 best spells in the deck, it's not competing to be one of the 17 best lands in your deck. It's competing with literally nothing to be the best card in your companion slot. Even if you end up not being blue or red, the option to spend three mana to put an extra card in your hand you might need to discard to an enemy Ob Nixilis or something is strictly better than not having that option, which is what happens if you don't draft it. Lutri is always a windmill slam first pick. Literally always.
