It’s wild what they charge for synthetic oil changes. I paid $80 to get tools and ramps initially. Easily under $15 with synthetic oil. Easy and satisfying job.

Not to mention having to get a ride to and from the shop, leaving the car, or waiting in the waiting room… it’s worth the DIY for the convenience alone.

So you didn’t need to take the underside cover off the vehicle in order to get to the oil filter? Which model year was this? No mention of replacing the crush washer on the drain bolt.
