Thank you so much for sharing your tips with us. I found it to be extremely valuable. I also think outlining with the microblade is a brilliant idea. You are brilliant 🥰🥰🥰💕

Yes I do but it’s hard to explain in words. I may have to make a video on it 💜

Do you let the needle hangout slightly more for eyeliner than you would other procedures?

Love your videos 🙏🏻 can I ask please your needles size. I’ve been told 5rs above the lashes and 3 through thru the lashes 🧐 also to use a 2mm cam above the lashes in the usually aged skin that most of my clients have.

Honestly I change my needles up a lot with liner. Everyone’s skin is different and reacts differently. I can get a sense of it by looking with brows but with liner I’m often surprised. I mostly use a 3RL but I do also use a 1RL a lot (and always for wings and shading) and a 5RS a lot. I don’t think you can have hard and fast rules. Often I’ll use a 5RS in the lash line and also for large areas of “filling in” but my rule is, if it isn’t working, change it. I’ve done full liners with a 1RL and full liners with a 5RS. I’ve even used 7RL.

@@pmumentor that’s all great to hear Katie. Thanks for taking the time to explain. I like watching your ‘real’ way of explaining and doing PMU. It’s often all too glam and done on beautiful skin that it makes the regular PMU feel totally intimidated. Keep up the great work 🙏🏻

@@helengodlonton3745 Aww thank you. Everyone likes a bit of glam but I think not showing realistic results can be bad for two reasons. Like you say it doesn't resonante with the people you're trying to help if you're a teacher, and also it's the same with clients. If you only post pics or videos of clients with perfect skin that is over edited then your clients won't relate either. I like to show clients of all ages and different skin types so they will feel confident coming to me. It's about connecting with your audience. Don't feel intimidated. Every single artist that you aspire to be like picked up their machine for the first time once, and also remember you're seeing their best work often, not the skin types they've struggled with. Keep going 😊😊😊

Do you have any advice for patients who get very nervous with someone approaching their eye? I’ve had lash extensions before (they went mostly fine) and I’ve had 1 very successful lash lift, and 1 mediocre lash lift (I was tearing up too much). I know they put a numbing cream on, but if I have to actually see someone approach my eye with an object, I get reflexive

Honestly, from an artist’s POV I would say to not have this treatment. If someone is moving and jumping with a needle next to their eye, it’s just too risky.

Katie… is it possible to share the exact cartridge you like Brand and all. I know Teryn D likes a 5rs LT. I’ve always had bad retention and sick and tired of it. If I know the right needle I might be able to achieve that black eyeliner we all strive for 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Is it normal to see a blue line above black liner while healing or is it migration? It's even on both sides.

For upper liner Katie … 90 angle?
@pmumentor2 жыл бұрын
Yes. 90 degrees. It’s really easy to blow out on the eyelids so really gentle pressure and 90 degrees 😀

@@pmumentorI’ve done a heap of courses and research and only of late ( and UK Trainers) do I hear 90. It’s never mentioned or if it is it 45-60. I’m staying with 90 🎉🙏🏻🥰

Katie where did you use the 3rl at the top also 5 rs. I didn’t understand that bit. Have you ever wanted a body tattoo machine for better implantation?
@pmumentor Жыл бұрын
There aren’t set rules where and when I use them. Try to think of it more like art and the needles are the brushes you have. Needle choice changes with every client. I use what I need to get the desired result so often I’ll use the 5 in the lash line and to fill in big areas but not always. The 3 I’ll often use to fill in nearest the outline of the shape to keep it sharp, but I’ll use them where they are work best in each individual client. These things can only be learned by doing it. There’s no substitute for time on skin.

Hello! Thank you for the video! I am a brand new artist that did not have very good training with the course I took 😒 Iv only done one eyeliner procedure on my mother in law ( Iv done it twice on her ) and both times after 1 week all the pigment disappears? I’m using permablend pigment blackish brown and I used a 3r needle. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong other than maybe I just need more practice? Any ideas what’s happening? FYI my machine is the one I got from my training which Iv sense researched and found that it only cost 30$ from Amazon. Not sure if that has anything to do with anything just thought I’d mention it.
@pmumentor2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you may not be implanting it properly. Perma Blend is a reputable pigment so it won't be that (I wouldn't reccommend Perma Blend for beginners as it's carbon based and you have a much higher risk of migration if you implant badly. I'd stick to inorganic or at most a hybrid until youre really confident with implanting) The machine might influence it but honestly it's most likely that it just isn't in the skin properly. It can look like it is as the pigment can stick to the lashes so I recommend rinsing with Pigment Seal between passes. It needs to look very dense in colour so slow your hand and make all contact count. If you want to join my Facebook group you can send me a pic there 😊
