Why are there 2 different G major chords? Both versions you have your middle and pointer finger on the E and A string. Theres one where they only have the finger on the e string then the one where they put 2 fingers on the b and e strings. So which way is right?

The B and E string just creates a fuller sound. It's also easier to Play the G chord with the B and E string if the next chord you play is going to be the D chord etc. The first G chord I learnt was without the B string
