Video moving too fast? I need to work on that. In the mean time, use the slowdown feature that KZbin offers. Click the gear on the lower right of the video, but not before hitting that thumbs up and subscribe. Hit that bell too so you don't miss another video.

I did that. It isn't slowed nearly enough. Stopping and starting is no help. It usually goes too fast to stop at the right place and almost impossible to get back to where you need to be for the next bit of info. Too much time wasted that should be spent on learning and practice. Your speed is probably perfect for someone that already knows what you are trying to teach.

@fakepastorbaconchickeneati89653 жыл бұрын
What did you do to understand what he is doing
@williambutler18903 жыл бұрын
@@fakepastorbaconchickeneati8965 I really just kept learning. I already knew the number system he's talking about but I then went and learned what drop-two chords are and how they're used. After that, I just took the video one step at a time. he shows multiple chords available to be played for the same number (ie the 1 chord is played with the Bb sus 2 chord on top). I just learned one version that he showed of each number that I didn't already know that also sounded good when I put them all together and threw it into my music. I play for my church so I get a lot of play time. I used the alternate chords I got from this video so often that I could effortlessly throw them into new songs I heard and it makes my background talk music heavenly. Also, I always throw piano vids I don't fully understand into a playlist and months later, I re-watch them to see if anything has changed for me. I did that with this one. After coming back the third... or fourth time, I was able to easily keep up since I understood some of the chords he was playing now that I play them all the time and know how they can be used in conjunction with other chords. On top of that, I treated the sus 2 chords and the drop 2 chords the same way in terms of using them in new songs and talk music. Since those two were not that difficult they were really easy to pick up after a couple youtube videos and some sunday mornings experimenting with the music while people talked over the mic... Also, my favorite key to play is Db

Niklas Malmqvist This is a basic approach to sounding advanced. The prerequisite is knowing basic theory and being comfortable playing at a basic level. I’d practice major, minor, sus2/sus4, and practice them in all 12 keys. This stuff is not hard but it would be kinda heavy for an absolute beginner. Play on my bro!

Good video but can you just simply create a video of what’s in your left hand what particular Sus chord is in your right create a formula? U did good for the major chord but u jumped around so much for the minor chord abt how it could be this could be that so much to where it was hard to follow... Also can u not use words like could be this or that but could u always call out the chord names in individual hands thx Great Lesson!
