Caesar, I want to thank you for such a great video. I am trusting the Lord for a great band of musicians. I can sense your humility in what you are doing. May the Lord continue to bless you. I know the Lord will provide the right great musicians for our ministry. Keep up the great work. Pastor John

Great video First mov is just inversions of D diminished and E diminished with drop 2. The second mov is something like alt. Base use the root and right hand the sus2 chord from the #5. In E for exemple, it’s E in the base and in the right hand we have the sus2 chord of C, cuz C is the #5 of E.

The first one is just a [Vb7b9] to [i] or F#7b9 to Bmi11. The three chord he is referring to is really a five chord and the six chord is really a one. The relative minor key shares the same key as the relative major. Therefore you should know your degrees of your relative minor mode. Why are so many afraid to call the minor chord a one chord or the "tonic", especially when you're in the minor key mode? It baffles me.
@SharedSoundz7 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the input it is greatly appreciated. The reason that I was calling it the 3 to the 6 is because I was breaking down this progression Cory Henry did and he was playing it in the key of D not he relative minor. He used the progression to go from the 3 to the 6 and finally resolves on D which was the 1. I should have explained that more sorry for the confusion on my part.
@teddyd90317 жыл бұрын
I noticed when you play the Dmajor9 chord, you slide over and added the B in the bass immediately after you played the Dmajor 9 which makes it really resolve on Bminor11. The notes for a Bminor11th is B,D,F#,A,C#,E (1,b3,5,b7,9,11). Hey great instructions though. Remember the bass tells the real story. I understand that the keyboardist may leave out the bass sometimes but once you hit that B, the ear say is minor mode all day. Again, I enjoy your visual instructions for confirmation.

Why should it be a problem. Like if the fact of doing a youtube channel gave someone absolute knowledge. We are all learning here. See this as a contribution to make it a better channel. This is called sharing knowledge and experience. There is a big chance Teddy is like 20 years more experienced than you or me. Maybe he teaches at university.

I would like to ask a different question. I really enjoyed the sound of your microphone. What did you use to record your voice? lapel or condenser? if yes, I would like to know the model and how you equalized. Another question ..what pre amplifier did you use for it? Att
@SharedSoundz7 жыл бұрын
We used the Rode Video Mic Pro Rycote on a stand aiming towards the mouth as close as possible without being in the frame. We had the +20db switch on. Rode also has a 1/8th inch to xlr adapter which we used and connected it to a focusrite clarett 8pre interface. We used the built in pre-amps with the air feature on. For the eq, we rolled off the bottom end around 120-180 hertz and cut around 2k. The eq portion might be different for you. It depends on the mic, person speaking, mic placement, and room. Hope this helped.

Basically this run is going through the half/ whole tone scale and moves to the whole/half tone scale. This is very old trick that a lot of guys use to sound more sophisticated. The trick is switching to the right one depending on what chord tone you want to land on. Practicing chord qualities up and down the keyboard with different inversions using Half/WHole, WHole/Half and whole tone is something pro's eventually find out and obsess over to master to take them to the next level in harmonically. You don't see much material on Chord scaling but Chord scaling different scales and not just major and minor is huge and and his how all of the church guys get there sound from most of the time.
